All it takes is one really good hacker to get into a Twitter account and change the password.

These sites are not bulletproof. It's just the really good hackers choose their battles very wisely. A sophisticated attack has to be worth their time (money). But hacking into two factor authentication and tightly secured servers is like childs play to the good ones. And by good I'm referring to their skill level.
