Bullshit. I drove across Hoover dam a couple months ago. 93 is a highway with a bridge (where the armored car is) that bypasses the narrow road across the dam, but vehicle traffic is still allowed across the dam itself. I drove across it myself. It's constantly clogged with tourists, hence the bypass.

Even a big explosion in any of those places would barely scratch the surface. Something would have to be detonated in a confined (or semi-confined) area to cause real structural damage. Think OKC bombing. Was there a crater in the street?

 

In this case it was more of a threat to human life nearby than to any part of the dam. C
