What is the Hopeless Diamond?

A flat bottom diamond was determined as the ideal shape for a radar-evading aircraft. The shape was dubbed the “Hopeless Diamond” in reference to its poor inherent aerodynamics. Engineers cut out the minimum necessary to allow the shape to fly. U.S. Air Force.
