our oil is extra light crude - have to mix with heavy crude so feedstock will fit thru refinery processing
the refinery cracking units are designed for a specific feed gravity - remaking the cracking units is like remaking the guts of the refinery
we import the heavy crude from KSA, Canada, SEAsia, Mex, etc to mix with our own. We export ours for them to mix with their heavier crudes
can't get diesel or fuel oil out of light crude anon
what we get out of shale oil wells is like naptha or (at the heaviest) kerosene
with all the leakers in fbi/doj, this is likely the best answer
