I've found that the name may vary from place to place, but they seem to function in the same manner: Kidnap children from a home, "sell" them in various ways making money for the state and then cry about how bad parents are.

In the US people are arrested with a warrant when there is suspicion of a crime. The arrested person may be removed from the home. It is my belief that there is NO constitutional defensible reason to kidnap a child from a home for the suspected "crime" of the parent. That is what is happening when Dad is using pot for PTSD and the child is "arrested". That example may be extreme or too simplistic but you probably get the picture.
Buying the votes of people of a certain ethnicity, perhaps? Florida has a potential rival presidential candidate for Biden as governor, so I doubt Biden will help them.
