What tell the tale is this guy had it all planned out. He was, in his mind (or the mind his handlers built) was absolutely sure it would work. He would get in Kavanaugh's house, he would hold the family at gun point, maybe kill one or two of them, then he would use his zip ties and then torture those still alive. Then kill them all and then kill himself. It was all programmed.
What happened? He got out of the Taxi Cab at 1:30 am in front of Kavanaugh's house and saw something he, or his handlers, never considered. A vehicle with secret service agents in it. He immediately did an 'about step' and walked away. He lost it, alone on the sidewalk in the midnight hours without ever being in that place before, he called 911.
If the white hats don't get this guy to give up the game I am going to be pissed. There is not a dimes difference between this guy, the kid in Buffalo or the kid in Uvalde. Have this guy name his shrink (handler), bring charges against that guy, or more likely woman, and have her rat out the handlers of all the mass shooters.
