In my city they just recently redid the aldermanic districts (dropped 1).
One alderman with a lot of clout got the boundary moved back one street and then over again the next block just to get this old lady that is always raising hell about something out of his district.
It made the local paper because the alderman that got stuck with her now started whining to the press about it.
