The laptops were confiscated because of the classified info, were to be destroyed, was revealed Jun. 11, 2018 they still exist because they are part of an ongoing investigation…

They were looking for "mens rea" wrt the attorneys, Did the attorneys know they were helping with criminal activity, and were they involved with it? Nobody seemed to think they saw that, or that they would find it, based on anything they had previously found. But they had to go through the motions to be thorough.

Toscas was briefed about all the issues, and made the decision to offer an immunity deal.

FBI said DOJ was overly cautious in obtaining the laptops. FBI said they did everything humanly possible to obtain them, even knowing that there was probably nothing useful on them.

 

Lynch and Yates unaware that FBI thought DOJ was overly cautious …

 

Comey and others wanted to credibly complete the investigation soon enough to not interfere with the election…

 

HRC interview was on a Saturday to keep it low-key. Mills and Samuelson were allowed to attend EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE WITNESSES. It was a voluntary interview rather than a subpoena through a grand jury.

HRC was interviewed last in the whole process.
