The problem with ivory towers is

you lose your human connections to life.

You don't feel the wind in your life.

You don't take the time to watch birds or clouds.

If all you partake of

are human creations

you don't ever learn… life… itself

Whoever we are

we have the ability to give gifts

to give life to the world

and when you've purified yourself so thoroughly

you miss the syncopation of the dance

that is life itself

sometimes money, power, privilege

are a handicap to living life in its fullness

and so

they forget the heartbreaks of struggling people

as long as they are human

they cannot truly ignore humanity

and must learn the great art of

being aware that they can always be wrong

and make accommodation for that
