Private operations provide access to the aircraft away from the main airport terminal, either at a fixed-base operator (FBO) or remote ramp location.
With an FBO, you'll use a private jet terminal, which includes access to a private lounge for check-in, a dedicated customer service agent and private security screening either planeside or in the FBO facility.
Remote ramp locations are when the charter aircraft is parked at a remote location on airport grounds. This option is best suited for charter customers arriving to the airport in their own single vehicle, like a bus, which will be escorted by airport personnel. Parking accommodations are subject to availability.
Private operations are subject to TSA and airport approval and are generally more expensive than terminal operations.
Security screening that complies with TSA directives is required of all charter customers. For private operations, United will provide TSA-approved personnel to provide security screening either at the airport (planeside or at an FBO) or at another TSA-approved venue (stadium or hotel).
