I have my phone on wifi/wlan with my router and my comp with win10 and brave browser hardwired with my router. So I get the code from my phone and post on my comp. If I would disable my phone from my wlan it would get the IP from my mobile phone provider - which is not attached to my local IP - and it would not work
I just found it easier than to install an emulator to use the app on my desktop, and I don´t have to tab back´n´forth between app and browser

As far as I can tell the app does not collect any data beyond what is required to connect the current hard IP of the device and 8kun, and even that data is dropped after the max 60 seconds expire (to free up the code for further use for other anons).

That´s your experience. If posting from your (hardwired) comp worked with the code from the IP of the mobile-phone provider, I have no explanaiion for that. …
I must admit I have not tried the code from phone-providerby diabling wlan/wifi and posting with comp on router …
