Nobody sleeping tonight? I wonder if whatever is going to happen will affect tomorrow's presidential elections in Finland, you know the ones where the leading candidate and media favorite Sauli Niinistö has unexplained owls in his campaign materials. Also Matti Vanhanen, the other government party candidate, has his left eye covered on his campaign poster.
Finland has a multiparty system, and the presidential elections have two rounds, allowing for multiple credible candidates. Vanhanen is in no danger of getting elected, but the abnormally popular owl guy Niinistö can very well win a second term even on the first round.
At least the president doesn't have that much power nowadays. Prime minister is the one with the power, which is very unfortunate with a prime minister like ours.
