How Black Lives Matter Is Being Used to Further a Communist Agenda

Virginia Allen: I am joined by James Simpson, an investigative journalist and author of the book “The Red-Green Axis: Refugees, Immigration and the Agenda to Erase America.” Mr. Simpson, thanks so much for being here today.

James Simpson: Hey, Virginia, great to be with you. Thanks for having me.

Allen: So, you’ve done extensive research on Black Lives Matter. You’ve been researching them for a very long time, long before all the events that have transpired over this summer. And actually way back in 2016, you wrote a really interesting article, “Reds Exploiting Blacks: The Roots of Black Lives Matter.” So, let’s begin with those roots. What are the roots of Black Lives Matter?

Simpson: Well,Black Lives Matter is actually a subsidiary of an umbrella group called the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, now known as Liberation Road, and there [are] two versions of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, but this one, in particular, focuses … it’s a descendant of the new communist movement, which is a Maoist movement. They’re Maoist communists.

And it’s very interesting because, there’s even an article at Heritage talking about how the Black Lives Matter co-founder and a pro-communist China group are partnering up,and there’s been a lot of speculation about communist China actually working in the background to support what’s going on in the streets with Black Lives Matter and Antifa groups.

I mean, this is a very malevolent organization. Its founders, as I’m sure you’ve seen in the recent video, Alicia Garza and Patrisse Cullors both describe themselves as trained Marxists, Opal Tometi, the three of them together came up with the Black Lives Matter hashtag, and that was in 2013 following the Trayvon Martin thing with George Zimmerman in Florida, and then it really blossomed after Michael Brown was shot in Ferguson, Missouri.

But even as far back as then, in those riots in Ferguson, the rioters were trained by Lisa Fithian, who is probably the most prominent anarchist in the United States.

And so, they have always been a radical communist organization, and Nelini Stamp, who came up with the “Hands up, don’t shoot” slogan, said thatwhat we’re really fighting is capitalism, because it’s not working for us anymore. And so really, they make it explicit.

And the trouble is, we don’t get the proper exposure from the media about who these people really are, and what their organizational goals are. What we get instead is this phrase that anybody can get behind, “Black Lives Matter,” of course. And you can make yourself feel good by allying with that message, putting out a sign and proudly showing how you’re not a bigot and a racist, when in fact our country leads the way in showing how a multicultural society can get along, and despite all the efforts to tear us to pieces by these groups—and that’s what their true goal is—we do a very good job of getting along.

It’s actually an amazing job, considering that there are hundreds of different ethnic groups in the United States, hundreds of different cultural backgrounds and, in any other country, any two or three of those could be at war with each other, and in fact, some of them are.

But in the United States, because we have a capitalist system, and because we have a nation founded on Judeo-Christian values, we’ve learned how to assimilate and accommodate people, and we are the leaders of the world, and the world follows us in trying to figure out how to deal with all of these kinds of issues.

So, the entire narrative is wrong, but they’ve never really cared about that. What they care about is, it’s really a military strategy of divide and conquer that will facilitate these communist organizations overthrowing our country as it is, and taking power.

And if you know anything about communism, I’ve studied it for 30 years, you know that they care about nothing except power and wealth for themselves to the exclusion of everyone else.

Allen: So, give me some examples, if you would, of how these communist organizations, this more or less communist mindset, is using Black Lives Matter to further their goals, to further their agenda.

Simpson: Well, of course, look in the streets. These groups, first of all, they take false narratives. Yes, there are bad police. Yes, there are racists in our society, from all backgrounds, by the way. There are racist blacks. There are racist whites. There are racist Hispanics. But they are not, by far, in the majority in our nation.

In our nation, we all seek to get along and do the best we can, but by deliberately misrepresenting events like the death of George Floyd, they are able to agitate people who have actually basically spent their lives being agitated by a leftist infrastructure.

[In] public schools, we’re being taught that our nation is racist, and incurably racist, and sexist, and homophobic, and every other bad thing.

And so, you have people coming up with no real knowledge of our form of government and our history and all of our challenges, but all of our victories and how we work together to try to fix these problems.

Instead, they’re constantly being agitated and provoked to hatred, and that is what we see. And so, when you have a situation like George Floyd, or the person in Kenosha or Georgia, you have these situations which—if you look at the fact that there are millions of arrests by police every single year—you have a handful of circumstances where those arrests go bad, for one reason or another, or you may even have a corrupt policeman, or a hateful policeman.

They’re few and far between, but they do exist.

But when you take that out of context and present that as indicative of our society, with people who are already primed for rage, and given the excuse to rage, then that’s what we see happening in the streets. And our media is greatly to blame for that.

One thing people don’t talk about, there are twice as many whites killed by police every year as there are blacks, and that’s despite the fact that blacks commit over half of all the murders in our country, despite the fact that there are twice as many whites killed by blacks as the reverse every year, despite the fact that blacks are responsible for 40% of the deaths, the violent deaths, of police officers killed in the line of duty by criminals.

When you take those things into consideration, it’s maybe a little bit more understandable why police are walking on pins and needles when it comes to arresting people, and are afraid for their own lives.

But more to the point, this has been a long-standing strategy of the communists, going all the way back to Vladimir Lenin, who said, “We must write in a language that inspires hate, revulsion, and scorn towards those who disagree with us.” And in the [1940s], the Communist Party of the Soviet Union sent out memos to the communist parties of the world saying, “Whenever people oppose you, call them racist, call them anti-Semites, call them fascists, call them anything that already has a bad connotation in the public mind, and if it’s repeated often enough, it will appeared to be true.”

And that’s what they have been doing, all this time. And as they have infiltrated into the various institutions of our culture and pushed that narrative, it has become a narrative that many people coming up today, going to college, the millennials, they all believe it’s true.

And so, really all it takes is one, or a few, small, sad circumstances. George Floyd was a tragic circumstance. But all it takes is something like that to inflame all these passions, and people don’t even realize, it’s not just something that police pick out blacks to do this to. White kids, white adults, other ethnic groups, people have those same mistakes, but they don’t get publicized like they do when it’s a black, and that’s because much of our media is pushing that whole narrative that we are a racist country that needs fundamental change.

Allen: So, if we look at the founding of Black Lives Matter, what do you think was the original intent of Garza and Cullors and Tometi when they set out to found this movement? I guess what I’m getting at, has Black Lives Matter kind of been hijacked by this communist movement? Or is it really right there in its founding, that it’s always had these threads that link it to this really progressive, radical left movement?

Simpson: Yeah, no, it was an opportunity waiting to happen, and they jumped on that opportunity following the deaths of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown. And once again, the true narrative is totally different. Trayvon Martin was attacking George Zimmerman. He was smashing his head against the ground. Zimmerman was afraid for his life, and he shot Trayvon Martin.

Now, you can argue whether or not a private citizen should be prowling his neighborhood at night, armed, looking for potential lawbreakers, which Trayvon Martin clearly was in that circumstance, scoping out houses to break into.

You could argue that those kinds of circumstances might have been avoided if you didn’t have that kind of neighborhood-watch situation, where a guy who wasn’t trained in how to deal with confrontation was out there, nonetheless.

But for example, in the case of Michael Brown, Michael Brown was clearly attempting to take the gun from the officer, and the officer did what he had to do to defend himself, and was within his rights to do, but the whole narrative was flipped upside down.

So this was an opportunistic circumstance where these people felt it was time to create this, and they were, and are, communists all along.And it’s very interesting, they work with the Center for Popular Democracy, which has sidled right up to Black Lives Matter and Antifa, and you know who the Center for Popular Democracy is?

Allen: I don’t.

Simpson:It is the new ACORN.

Allen: OK.

Simpson: Do you remember ACORN?

Allen: I do.

Simpson: Well, it is all the same people, and ACORN was taken down in 2010 when it was exposed that it was really a shadowy organization of 350 front groups, but it didn’t really go away. It just rebranded itself under different names. And now its main organization is the Center for Popular Democracy, and they work with Black Lives Matter.

All of these groups work together, it’s really huge, frankly, and Freedom Road Socialist Organization, Garza, Cullors, and Tometi all worked for Freedom Road Socialist Organization groups.

Left-wing community organizing organization

Barack Obama did legal work for ACORN, was one of their community organizers in Chicago, and has reiterated his staunch support of them in many speeches.

ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a community organization of low- and moderate-income families that addresses housing, schools, neighborhood safety, health care, job conditions, and other social issues that affect its members. With a membership of over 350,000, ACORN is organized into more than 850 neighborhood chapters in over 100 cities across the United States, as well as in Argentina, Canada, Mexico, and Peru. The organization was born out of the American Civil Rights Movement. ACORN was founded in 1970 by Wade Rathke, George Wiley, and Gary Delgado. Maude Hurd has been National President of ACORN since 1990.

Allegations of election fraud

On September 7, 2004, a Columbus, Ohio grand jury indicted ACORN employee and felony parolee Kevin Eugene Dooley for election fraud. The indictment charges Dooley forged a signature to a voter registration form.

During the 2004 election, an ACORN member named Mac Stuart was working for ACORN’s voter registration effort in Miami-Dade County. Stuart reported seeing ACORN workers copying voter registration forms, which is illegal under Florida law, and segregating voter registration forms for Republicans that were not subsequently turned into the County. After Stuart reported these irregularities to the election officials, ACORN fired him. Stuart filed suit against ACORN in May, 2005 for wrongful termination. ACORN counter-sued for defamation.

In August 2004 a lawsuit was filed in Albuquerque alleging that New Mexico Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron improperly exempted individuals who registered to vote through canvassers from requirements that some new registrants submit ID at polling places. In a court case, ACORN director Matt Henderson invoked his Fifth Amendment rights when asked if his group made illegal copies of voter registration cards before submitting them. The Albuquerque Tribune claims he told them this was done.

In January 2005 two ex-ACORN workers were convicted in Denver of perjury for submitting false voter registrations.

Federal indictments allege two counts each of voter registration fraud. Prosecutors said the indictments are part of a national investigation.

ACORN was investigated in 2006 for submitting false voter registrations in St. Louis, Missouri. 1,492 fraudulent voter registrations were identified, some from the dead and others for underage voters who were not aware they had been registered by ACORN.

ACORN was investigated in 2007 by King County, Washington for filing false registrations. An elections department employee called 400 phone numbers that were provided on the cards from a sample of those turned in by ACORN. Of the 400 phone numbers, only two were good, and both people denied filling out voter registration cards. On July 26, 2007, felony charges were filed against seven ACORN employees including supervisors for filing 1762 false registrations.

New Georgia Project

The New Georgia Project is a nonpartisan effort to register and civically engage Georgians. NGP’s goal is to register all eligible, unregistered citizens of color in Georgia by the end of the decade.

NGP works with local and national civil rights organizations to defend voting rights and advocate for policies that expand access to voting. In 2014, NGP launched an ambitious voter registration program resulting in roughly 69,000 new voters making the roles. That work continues today with NGP’s field team targeting the remaining 700,000+ unregistered citizens of color. We meet new voters where they are - in churches, on college campuses, in their neighborhoods - to share information about how to register and how to vote. We are turning new registrants into voters, many for the first time ever.

ACORN is one of far too many very troubling Barack Obama associations. He has been closely allied with this organization for years and even though, as a non-profit group, they are not supposed to endorse political candidates, not only have they have endorsed Barack Obama, the Obama campaign has given them $800,000 to help fund their work. What is their work? Besides neighborhood activism and other activities, they have registered over 1 million new voters, virtually all of whom will vote for Barack Obama and other liberal candidates. Non-partisan they are not, and honest they are not. Let’s look at their record.

AR 1998 A contractor with ACORN-affiliated Project Vote was arrested for falsifying about 400 voter registration cards.

CO 2004 An ACORN employee admitted to forging signatures and registering three of her friends to vote 40 times.

2005 Two ex-ACORN employees were convicted in Denver of perjury for submitting false voter registrations.

FL 2004 A Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokesman said ACORN was “singled out” among suspected voter registration groups for a 2004 wage initiative because it was “the common thread” in the agency’s fraud investigations.

MI 2004 The Detroit Free Press reported that “overzealous or unscrupulous campaign workers in several Michigan counties are under investigation for voter-registration fraud, suspected of attempting to register nonexistent people or forging applications for already-registered voters.” ACORN-affiliate Project Vote was one of two groups suspected of turning in the documents.

MO 2007 Four ACORN employees were indicted in Kansas City for charges including identity theft and filing false registrations during the 2006 election.

2006 Eight ACORN employees in St. Louis were indicted on federal election fraud charges. Each of the eight faces up to five years in prison for forging signatures and submitting false information.

2003 Of 5,379 voter registration cards ACORN submitted in St. Louis, only 2,013 of those appeared to be valid. At least 1,000 are believed to be attempts to register voters illegally.

NC 2004 North Carolina officials investigated ACORN for submitting fake voter registration cards.

NM 2005 Four ACORN employees submitted as many as 3,000 potentially fraudulent signatures on the group’s Albuquerque ballot initiative. A local sheriff added: “It’s safe to say the forgery was widespread.”

2004 An ACORN employee registered a 13-year-old boy to vote. Citing this and other examples, New Mexico State Representative Joe Thompson stated that ACORN was “manufacturing voters” throughout New Mexico.

OH 2007 A man in Reynoldsburg was indicted on two felony counts of illegal voting and false registration, after being registered by ACORN to vote in two separate counties.

2004 A grand jury indicted a Columbus ACORN worker for submitting a false signature and false voter registration form. In Franklin County, two ACORN workers submitted what the director of the board of election supervisors called “blatantly false” forms. In Cuyahoga County, ACORN and its affiliate Project Vote submitted registration cards that had the highest rate of errors for any voter registration group.

MN 2004 During a traffic stop, police found more than 300 voter registration cards in the trunk of a former ACORN employee, who had violated a legal requirements that registration cards be submitted to the Secretary of State within 10 days of being filled out and signed.

PA 2008 An ACORN employee in West Reading, PA, was sentenced to up to 23 months in prison for identity theft and tampering with records. A second ACORN worker pleaded not guilty to the same charges and is free on $10,000 bail.

2004 Reading’s Director of Elections received calls from numerous individuals complaining that ACORN employees deliberately put inaccurate information on their voter registration forms. The Berks County director of elections said voter fraud was “absolutely out of hand,” and added: “Not only do we have unintentional duplication of voter registration but we have blatant duplicate voter registrations.” The Berks County deputy director of elections added that ACORN was under investigation by the Department of Justice.

TX 2004 ACORN turned in the voter registration form of David Young, who told reporters “The signature is not my signature. It’s not even close.” His social security number and date of birth were also incorrect.

VA 2005 In 2005, the Virginia State Board of Elections admonished Project Vote and ACORN for turning in a significant number of faulty voter registrations. An audit revealed that 83% of sampled registrations that were rejected for carrying false or questionable information were submitted by Project Vote. Many of these registrations carried social security numbers that exist for other people, listed non-existent or commercial addresses, or were for convicted felons in violation of state and federal election law.

In a letter to ACORN, the State Board of Elections reported that 56% of the voter registration applications ACORN turned in were ineligible. Further, a full 35% were not submitted in a timely manner, as required by law. The State Board of Elections also commented on what appeared to be evidence of intentional voter fraud. “Additionally,” they wrote, “information appears to have been altered on some applications where information given by the applicant in one color ink has been scratched through and re-entered in another color ink. Any alteration of a voter registration application is a Class 5 Felony in accordance with § 24.2-1009 of the Code of Virginia.”

WA 2007 Three ACORN employees pleaded guilty, and four more were charged, in the worst case of voter registration fraud in Washington state history. More than 2,000 fraudulent voter registration cards were submitted by the group during a voter registration drive.

WI 2004 The district attorney’s office investigated seven voter registration applications Project Vote employees filed in the names of people who said the group never contacted them. Former Project Vote employee Robert Marquise Blakely told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he had not met with any of the people whose voter registration applications he signed, “an apparent violation of state law,” according to the paper.

Highest Ranking Georgia Democrat in Hot Water Over Voter Fraud

An organization with links to Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams (D-Atlanta), New Georgia Project, has been accused of forging voter registration forms and falsely telling registered voters they were required by law to re-register.Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp received multiple complaints from at least six counties and in response to those complaints, subpoenaed the group to produce all documents related to their efforts to “register voters, store voter information, contact voters or any other canvassing project.”

New Georgia Project is an offshoot of the organization Third Sector Development, which was founded, and currently led, by Stacey Abrams.

In a memo sent to county elections officials, Mr. Kemp stated that:

“[A p]reliminary investigation has revealed significant illegal activities’ including forged voter registration applications, forged signatures on releases, and applications with false or inaccurate information.”

When questioned by a local news reporter, Mr. Kemp continued to stand up for the integrity of the election process, saying:

“We’re just not going to put up with fraud. I mean, we have zero tolerance for that in Georgia so we’ve opened an investigation and served some subpoenas. At the end of the day this is not going to be about politics. This is about potential fraud which we think happened.”

Considering Abram’s involvement in Michelle Nunn’s senate race, Senate candidate David Perdue’s spokeswoman Megan Whittemore released a statement,drawing similarities between the New Georgia Project and another group known for fraudulent election activity – ACORN – stating:

“The serious allegations of illegal activities and potential fraud from liberal voter registration groups are outrageous and should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. As outlined in Michelle Nunn’s well-documented campaign plan, since Democrats cannot win on the issues they are aggressively trying to expand the electorate by any means necessary. The fact that an organization led by a well-known Nunn supporter would attempt to illegally register voters is unacceptable and reminiscent of the Obama-political machine’s ACORN scandal. There is nothing more fundamental to our democratic process than maintaining the integrity of our elections and any attempt to tamper with them is deplorable.”

Abrams is still “weighing her options” on responding to the subpoena.

Allegations of voter fraud and forgery have hit the political scene in Georgia and could shake up more than just the state government. WSB-TV reported this week that six counties in the state have complained to the Secretary of State about fraudulent voter registration applications coming from New Georgia Project, whose parent company Third Sector Development is run by current Georgia House minority leader Stacey Abrams.Subpoenas have gone out for an investigation, but the impact could have national implications — as Abrams has beenboth a donor and a proposed policy adviser to Michelle Nunn, running for US Senate:

WSB didn’t mention the connection between TSD and Nunn, but Republicans didn’t let it pass quietly. The Hill’s Alexandra Jaffe put the connection together:

A group helmed by a major donor and policy adviser to Democratic Senate candidate Michele Nunn is under investigation by the Georgia secretary of State for alleged voter fraud. …

Republicans are seizingon the allegations against the New Georgia Project to tarnish Nunn, suggesting the group was part of a larger effort by Democrats to “expand the electorate by any means necessary.” …

Third Sector Development is run by Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams (D), who has contributed to Nunn’s campaign and was listed on an official campaign strategy document as a proposed member of a group of potential policy advisers.

The David Perdue campaign says this is reminiscent of ACORN:

“The fact that an organization led by a well-known Nunn supporter would attempt to illegally register voters is unacceptable and reminiscent of the Obama-political machine’s ACORN scandal. There is nothing more fundamental to our democratic process than maintaining the integrity of our elections and any attempt to tamper with them is deplorable.”

The issue here would be more that Abrams got listed as an adviser more than her status as a donor. According to FEC records, Abrams has contributed $500 to Nunn in this cycle (almost exactly a year ago), which is significant but doesn’t exactly make her a “major donor.” Perhaps there are more contributions that Nunn has not yet disclosed, but FEC records are complete through the end of June. Neither TSD nor New Georgia Project have contributed to the campaign, again at least as of the end of June.
