It's #NationalPastaDay! Most people probably would prefer not to eat spaghetti in their bedroom, but these WWII Coast Guardsmen had no choice. Space was scarce on vessels such as destroyer escorts, so this crew had to pull back the bunks in their berthing to enjoy their pasta.

Oct. 1977: At the direction of the Secretary of Defense, a Special Investigative Unit was established within DIS to supervise the conduct of criminal investigations and fraud prevention surveys. This unit eventually became the Defense Criminal Investigative Service in 1981.
