Testing

To get the code. I already have Bluestacks android simulator on my computer for the TOTP codes. So from Bluestacks I went to Google Play and found the google authenticator. I downloaded that to my bluestacks and opened it. Clicked on setup and it asks for a code to setup. I could not find the get code link as described in Jim's post. So I went to the top reply box and added the browser extension for chrome. Edge and firefox are also options. Once I added the extension to chrome, the get code link magically appeared? I went back to bluestacks and the google authenticator setup. I put 8kun as the name and clicked on the get code link next to the password/authenticator key box, in the reply box at the top of the bread. I copied that code and put in my google authenticator setup in bluestacks, which generated a code to put in the TOTP box. damn. kek

So far, it looks like every time I click on my google authenticator in bluestacks, it automatically generates a new code. I have set for timed, so they expire relatively quickly. Will have to play around with it more later.

I'm trying, receiving flak from goole authenticator. When trying to post I keepgetting need code key, but that is only used for setup right? If I click on get code, then it says my TOTP is invalid. It worked a few times without the request for get code key, and it's giving me a new TOTP code ever so many seconds. I'm using the bluestacks android simulator with google authenticator for android. I used the get code key to set it up.

Looks like I have to click on the + to add account and enter 8kun and the get code key every post. arrgh. I would just use the old authentigator but that doesn't seem to wk now. Testing testing…

Yep have to;

1) click on the + add account button

2) click enter a setup key

3) then put 8kun in account name

4) click get code in reply box at top of bread

5) copy/past new key code into setup

6) Click add

7) get message "you already have an 8kun account"

8) click replace

Now I have a code for 1 post only kek

Bring back the authentigator as an alternative cuz I can use that one a lot faster, even with the lag sometimes between TOTP codes. It doesn't seem to work anymore. I mean, I guess w/practice I can get used to it. But it's a bit cumbersome, especially for baking.

You need to save the code you used to set up. You need the two pieces to post, the code you set up with and your fresh TOTP.

The code field doesn't show up in the quick reply but it is remembered in the form at the top

No need to hit + and add account each time. Just use the current code from authenticator.

You have to keep the get code key code you used to set up the authenticator in the top reply box, so save that. Then just put in a new TOPT code each time you post. >>17697459, >>17697461

Just keep the authenticator key code in the reply box up top, that you used to set up the authenticator. Then you can reply in the reply box below w/the new TOTP code.
