Can a cryptofag confirm my understanding of this?

TOTP is a time-based One Time Password. That's why there is a short window to use the TOTP, since not all machines will have the same time

When you get a code, you are getting the seed to that TOTP algorithm. The code does not reveal anything about who you are. The seed plus the current time then goes into that algorithm to return a value. Those are the only inputs it needs and that is the only output. You can run the authenticator on any device with the code you're using and get the same result. I assume the TOTP would be different if you used it on two devices at the same time, but both would be valid

When you create your Google Authenticator 8Kun account, you are providing the seed value and it returns your current TOTP. Google Authenticator does not know anything about how you are using that TOTP, other than that you named it 8Kun. So mebbe should call it something else if that bothers you

This is crackable but it's only being used to slow down the spambots, not save your freaking SSN

Is this the gist of it?

The swamp runs deep. Even PBS is labelling half of America as "election deniers".

Defund it all. Tear down the whole fucking thing. All of it is compromised.

When PBS conspiracy theory's the conspiracy theories.
