Grand Mosque in the Islamic Center of Indonesia Consumed by Fire; Dome Collapsed
The large dome of the Jami Mosque in North Jakarta caught fire and collapsed at around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday during renovation works, sending thick black smoke into the air.
The mosque is located at the building complex belonging to the Jakarta Islamic Center, a think-tank on Islamic studies and development.
Police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
The cause of the incident is being investigated and police said four workers of the contractor company tasked with renovating the mosque have been interrogated.

Lunar eclipses occur when the Earth is positioned between the sun and the moon, according to Space.com. They happen only during a full moon.
Eclipses occur just a few times each year, said Gary Boyle, who is often referred to as the backyard astronomer.
"Throughout antiquity, the 'Blood Moon' was an omen of the impending doom of war or even demons," he said in a news release, noting the event's rich lore. "Superstition ruled the skies in the early days."
The reddish hue of the moon during a total eclipse is caused by solar rays refracting through the Earth’s atmosphere —similar to sunsets, Boyle said.

For those in the Eastern time zone, Boyle said, the total eclipse will begin at around 5:16 a.m., with a midpoint at 5:59 a.m. It will end at around 6:41 a.m.
