LEAK: Mar-a-Lago Documents Included Classified Info On Iran Missile Program, Intel on China
Presidential records held at Mar-a-Lago included classified documents about Iran and China, according to the Washington Post.
According to The Post, the records did not contain sources’ names – but they somehow threaten sources and methods.
“If shared with others, the people said, such information could expose intelligence-gathering methods that the United States wants to keep hidden from the world.” WaPo reported.
One of the documents described Iran’s missile program and other records included sensitive intel on China.

Some of the classified documents recovered by the FBI from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and private club included highly sensitive intelligence regarding Iran and China, according to people familiar with the matter. If shared with others, the people said, such information could expose intelligence-gathering methods that the United States wants to keep hidden from the world.
At least one of the documents seized by the FBI describes Iran’s missile program, according to these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe an ongoing investigation. Other documents described highly sensitive intelligence work aimed at China, they said.
The secret documents about Iran and China are considered among the most sensitive the FBI has recovered to date in its investigation of Trump and his aides for possible mishandling of classified information, obstruction and destruction of government records, the people said.
The people familiar with the matter said that many of the more sensitive documents Trump or his aides apparently took to Mar-a-Lago after he left the White House are top-level analysis papers that do not contain sources’ names. But even without individual identifiers, such documents can provide valuable clues to foreign adversaries about how the United States may be gathering intelligence, and from whom, the people said.
Some of the seized documents detail top-secret U.S. operations so closely guarded that many senior national security officials are not informed about them, The Post reported in September. Only the president, some members of his Cabinet or a near-Cabinet-level official could authorize government officials to know details of these special-access programs, people have said. Investigators conducting the Mar-a-Lago probe did not initially have the authority to review that material.
According to leaks to the Washington Post and New York Times, Trump staffers moved Mar-a-Lago boxes after Trump was issued a subpoena in May.
The FBI contacted at least two Trump aides about the records stored at Mar-a-Lago.
A Trump employee told the FBI he moved boxes of documents at Mar-a-Lago on the former president’s orders, according a report published by the Washington Post last Wednesday.
According to The Washington Post, The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, the claim from Trump’s worker is corroborated by security footage.
Trump’s worker was told to move the boxes after the former president received a subpoena in May for classified documents.
The ‘key witness’ who moved Mar-a-Lago boxes on Trump’s orders is a former White House employee and Navy veteran.
The Washington Post identified the key witness as Walt Nauta, a 39-year-old who worked valet for Trump and served as a personal staffer at Mar-a-Lago.
The Wall Street Journal identified the second staffer last week.
“The aides, Walt Nauta and Will Russell, are witnesses in the Justice Department’s investigation into the handling of presidential and classified records taken from the White House but aren’t formally cooperating with the probe,” The Wall Street Journal reported citing “people familiar with the matter.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Trump prosecutors have seen enough evidence to bring obstruction charges, “but the path to an actual indictment is far from clear.”

The US government is weighing national security reviews for some of Elon Musk’s ventures, including his Twitter takeover deal, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
Musk’s plans to purchase Twitter for $44 billion with the help of foreign investors, including Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund, and Binance Holdings which was founded by a Chinese businessman, have concerned Biden administration officials, the people told Bloomberg.
The government was considering which tools they could use to review Musk’s deals, the people added. The Committee on Foreign Investment in the US (CFIUS), which is run by the US Treasury Department and reviews foreign buyers’ acquisitions of American businesses, could be an option, per Bloomberg.
The CFIUS carries out security reviews if a “transaction threatens to impair the national security of the United States,” according to federal regulations. When reviewing a transaction, the CFIUS can recommend to President Joe Biden that the deal be suspended or prohibited, per the regulations.
If the Twitter deal is reviewed by CFIUS for national security reasons, as reported by Bloomberg, Biden has the ability to stop the acquisition from going ahead. In recent months, Musk had requested the deal be called off.

Pfizer Plans To Hike Price Of US COVID-19 Vaccine By 400%
Pfizer is looking to raise the price of its COVID-19 vaccines in the United States by up to four times once Washington’s purchase program ends, according to the company’s U.S. president, Angela Lukin.
Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is presently provided free for all Americans by the U.S. government. Next year, when the U.S. public health emergency expires, the COVID-19 vaccine market will move to private insurance. The federal government is paying roughly $30 per dose for the Pfizer vaccine. When the government purchase program shuts down, Lukin expects a dose to be priced around $110 to $130.
“We are confident that the U.S. price point of the COVID-19 vaccine reflects its overall cost-effectiveness and ensures the price will not be a barrier for access for patients,” Lukin said, according to Reuters.
The Pfizer executive is expecting the vaccine purchase to transfer to the private sector, “at the earliest,” by first quarter 2023. According to Lukin, the vaccine will continue to be available for free for people who have government or private insurance.
In 2021, Pfizer made almost $37 billion through COVID-19 vaccine sales, with overall revenues doubling, to $81.3 billion. The company is expecting revenues to reach $98 billion to $102 billion this year.
According to the UK-based organization Global Justice Now, Pfizer’s COVID-19 shot was developed by BioNTech and supported by a €375 million ($366 million) grant from the German government and €100 million ($97 million) in debt financing from the European Investment Bank, a publicly owned entity.
“We’ve let Pfizer withhold this essential medical innovation from much of the world, all the while ripping off public health systems with an eye-watering mark-up,” said Tim Bierley, a pharmaceutical campaigner at the group, according to The Guardian.

Missouri Latest State To Divest From BlackRock Over 'Woke Political Agenda'
Missouri plans to remove $500 million of its pension fund investments from BlackRock, making it the latest state to divest from the world’s largest asset manager in response to the company’s overt leftist agenda.
State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick announced the plans on Oct. 18.
The realignment followed Louisiana’s Oct. 5 announcement on its pending removal of $794 million from BlackRock, and divestments of $100 million and $125 million by Utah and Arkansas, respectively.
The withdrawals result from BlackRock’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and its prioritization of a “woke political agenda.”
“We should not allow asset managers such as BlackRock, who have demonstrated that they will prioritize advancing a woke political agenda above the financial interests of their customers, to continue speaking on behalf of the state of Missouri,” Fitzpatrick told Fox Business.
Fitzpatrick’s statement echoes Louisiana Treasurer John Schroder, who stated in an Oct. 5 letter to BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, “Your blatantly anti-fossil fuel policies would destroy Louisiana’s economy. … We cannot be party to the crippling of our own economy.”
Republican States Say ‘Enough’
Over the past few years, BlackRock’s CEO has pursued an aggressive agenda focusing on shaping society to meet a specific political agenda.
In his 2022 letter to CEOs, Fink stated that “capitalism has the power to shape society and act as a powerful catalyst for change” and “when we harness the power of both the public and private sectors, we can achieve truly incredible things. This is what we must do to get to net zero.”
In his 2020 letter to CEOs, Fink wrote that BlackRock would significantly reallocate its capital from “investments that present a high sustainability-related risk, such as thermal coal producers,” and screen against investing in other fossil fuels. He then added a warning to CEOs.
“Last year, BlackRock voted against or withheld votes from 4,800 directors at 2,700 different companies. Where we feel companies and boards are not producing effective sustainability disclosures or implementing frameworks for managing these issues, we will hold board members accountable,” Fink wrote.
Fink and BlackRock are now facing their playbook as Republican-led states move to withdraw capital to achieve an objective—a retraction from BlackRock’s focus on ESG initiatives and promotion of a “woke agenda.”
Fitzpatrick accused BlackRock of breaching its fiduciary duty.
“Fiduciary duty must remain the top priority for investment managers—a duty some of them have abdicated in favor of forcing a left-wing social and political agenda that has failed to succeed legislatively, on publicly traded companies,” Fitzpatrick wrote.

EU wants to use frozen Russian assets to finance Ukraine
The bloc is looking for ways to confiscate funds to benefit Kiev
EU leaders have instructed the European Commission to prepare proposals on ways of using frozen Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine, Russian media reported on Friday. The statement comes as EU leaders wrapped up a two-day summit in Brussels.
“We have to talk about the use of [frozen] assets that we have – Russian [frozen] assets. We have over €300 billion ($292 billion) of [frozen] assets and how we can use them in benefit of Ukraine,” Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said on Friday, as quoted by CNN.
Legally, the frozen funds still belong to Russia or its citizens. In order to spend those assets, the EU needs to find a way of confiscating them. According to media reports, EU leaders will discuss the possible confiscation of frozen Russian assets at a summit in Brussels in May.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the EU was looking to provide Ukraine with about €1.5 billion each month. The bloc’s finance ministers have been tasked with pulling together the money.
The EU seized property belonging to Russian businessmen and companies, along with the assets of the Russian Central Bank, as part of sanctions against Moscow. The idea of using the funds in Ukraine was first put forward several months ago and was supported by politicians such as Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, former UK prime minister Liz Truss, and president of the European Council Charles Michel.
Top US officials including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that using those funds in Ukraine could be illegal and would discourage other countries from investing in the United States.
Russia strongly criticized the seizure of its assets by the Western nations, with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov saying the asset freeze essentially constitutes theft.

TikTok's China-based parent company planned to use app to monitor the location of specific US citizens: Report
A bombshell report from Forbes on Thursday accused TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, of planning to use location data collected on the app to track and monitor some American citizens.
ByteDance's Internal Audit and Risk Control department is reportedly the team behind the tracking project. The team, led by Beijing-based executive Song Ye, was created to monitor potential misconduct by current and former ByteDance employees.
However, Forbes claimed that in at least two instances, the Chinese company planned to collect location data information on American citizens who had never been employed at the company. Furthermore, that personal and private information was to be gathered without their knowledge or consent.
The news organization noted that it is not clear whether ByteDance moved forward with the plan to collect that data. The purpose of the surveillance was not disclosed in order to protect sources, Forbes noted.
Maureen Shanahan, a TikTok spokesperson, stated that the social media platform gathers only approximate location data to "among other things, help show relevant content and ads to users, comply with applicable laws, and detect and prevent fraud and inauthentic behavior."
According to materials reviewed by Forbes, the company planned to use the location information to surveil the individuals, not to serve them ads.
Forbes noted that the Chinese-owned video app is close to signing a contract with the U.S. Treasury Department's Committee on Foreign Investment, which assesses national security risks posed by foreign companies. The committee has been investigating TikTok to determine whether the Chinese government used data collected in the app to monitor and track American citizens.
The social media platform recently told lawmakers that data collected on U.S. citizens will be "limited only to authorized personnel, pursuant to protocols being developed with the U.S. Government."
TikTok responded to the allegations on Twitter, stating that the news outlet's reporting lacked "both rigor and journalistic integrity."
"Specifically, Forbes chose not to include the portion of our statement that disproved the feasibility of its core allegation: TikTok does not collect precise GPS location information from US users, meaning TikTok could not monitor US users in the way the article suggested," the post continued.
The social media app stated that its platform has "never been used to 'target' any members of the U.S. government, activists, public figures or journalists, nor do we serve them a different content experience than other users."

A group of FBI agents who knelt during the midst of the violent BLM riots that spawned from George Floyd’s death in 2020 are set to receive accolades. The FBI Agent’s association — which bills itself as “dedicated to advancing and safeguarding the careers, economic interests, conditions of employment and welfare of FBI agents and retired FBI agents — will honor the agents, who work in Washington D.C.
On June 4, 2020, a viral photo showed a number of FBI agents kneeling before the crowd of protesters, who had just burned down multiple city buildings and attacked the White House just a night before. According to a report from the Washington Times, FBI executive management praised the on-duty agents who knelt, one of which went so far as to hug one of the demonstrators.
In order to honor the gesture, the FBI Agent’s Association (FBIAA) will be providing the photographed agents with $100 gift cards in order to laud their “de-escalation tactics,” the New York Post reported.
According to the report, a number of active-duty and retired agents contacted FBIAA President Brian O’Hare in order to voice their displeasure with the move. “John Wilson, a trusted, widely respected former colleague and retired FBI unit chief who served as one of the attorney general’s handpicked protection-detail members between 2001 and 2007, says O’Hare advised him he fully supported this reward-the-kneelers idea his vice president, Wes Wheeler, proposed,” wrote former FBI special agent James Gagliano.
Wilson added that the FBI “has not only circled the drain, it is already in the grease trap by the curb.”
Founded in 1981, the FBIAA currently boats 14,000 members, including 90% of the bureau’s current agent workforce. The nonprofit’s decision to reward the agents for their political gesture comes at a time when public confidence in the agency is rapidly declining. According to a Gallup poll conducted in 2021, only 41% of respondents thought the FBI was doing a good job.
Those numbers are expected to plummet further as the Biden Administration’s politically motivated persecutions continue.

Newsmax cuts ties with Lara Logan after she said world leaders ‘dine on the blood of children’
The Newsmax cable news outlet has severed ties with Lara Logan after the former “60 Minutes” correspondent went on a bizarre rant alleging that world leaders “dine on the blood of children.”
Logan, an award-winning former war correspondent, was interviewed Wednesday by Newsmax host Eric Bolling, who anchors a show called “The Balance.”
Bolling invited Logan to his program to discuss global elites and their favoritism toward leftist policies. He then asked Logan about the situation along the southern border, where undocumented migrants have crossed into the United States in droves.
“God believes in sovereignty, and national identity, and the sanctity of family, and all the things that we’ve lived with from the beginning of time,” Logan responded. Her comments were transcribed by the news site Mediaite.
“And he knows that the open border is Satan’s way of taking control of the world through all of these people who are his stooges and his servants.”
Logan then added: “And they may think that they’re going to become gods. That’s what they tell us. You’ve all known [historian Yuval Noah] Harari and all the rest of them at the World Economic Forum.
“You know, the ones who want us eating insects, cockroaches, and that while they dine on the blood of children?”
Logan added: “Those are the people, right? They’re not gonna win. They’re not going to win.”
“Newsmax condemns in the strongest terms the reprehensible statements made by Lara Logan and her views do not reflect our network,” Newsmax said in a statement to the Daily Beast. “We have no plans to interview her again.”
Before appearing on Newsmax, Logan made frequent contributions to the Fox Nation streaming service run by Fox News — which is owned by the Fox Corporation, the sister company to The Post’s corporate parent, News Corp.
But she was dropped by Fox Nation as well as her talent agency after she appeared on “Fox News Primetime” last November and compared Dr. Anthony Fauci to the notorious Nazi “Angel of Death,” Dr. Josef Mengele.
“This is what people say to me, is that he doesn’t represent science to them — he represents Josef Mengele, the Nazi doctor who did experiments on Jews during the Second World War and in the concentration camps,” Logan, 50, said on the show.
The South African-born Logan began hosting “Lara Logan Has No Agenda” on Fox Nation after parting ways with CBS News in 2019.

‘Hunter is innocent’: Jill Biden defends stepson during federal probe
First lady Jill Biden has insisted her embattled stepson Hunter is “innocent” and has broken no laws amid an ongoing federal investigation.
“Everybody and their brother has investigated Hunter,” Jill Biden told NBC News in an interview published Friday.
“They keep at it, and at it, and at it,” the first lady added. “I know that Hunter is innocent. I love my son, and I will keep looking forward.”
Investigators have reportedly gathered enough evidence to charge the 52-year-old Hunter with potential tax crimes and allegedly lying about his drug abuse so he could buy a gun.
Hunter, who has denied any wrongdoing, will also face congressional probes into his foreign business dealings in China, Ukraine and other countries if Republicans regain control of Congress in November’s midterm elections.
Earlier this month, President Biden told CNN’s Jake Tapper that “I have great confidence in my son.”
“I love him and he’s on the straight and narrow and he has been for a couple years now. And I’m just so proud of him,” the president added.
Hunter’s relationship with his stepmother appeared to be strained based on text messages reportedly sent to his ex and his uncle in 2018 that were recovered from his abandoned laptop, according to the Sun.
In one message sent to his late brother Beau’s widow, Hallie Biden, who he was dating at the time, the president’s drug-addled son went off on his stepmom.
“F–k my stepmother for always being as much of a selfish silly entitled c–t as you,” he reportedly told Hallie in a vicious text.
In the texts to his uncle James Biden, the president’s brother, Hunter told him that he had called his stepmom a “f–king moron, a vindictive moron.”
He also said that he had questioned the first lady’s intelligence in texts to his uncle.
“And you do know the drunkest I’ve ever been is still smarter than you could ever even comprehend and you’re a shut [sic] grammar teacher that wouldn’t survive one class in a ivy graduate program,” Hunter told his uncle in a text message.
“So go f–k yourself Jill let’s all agree I don’t like you anymore than you like me,” he added.
Meanwhile, the 71-year-old first lady appears to support her husband running for re-election in 2024, despite polls indicating even a majority of Democrats don’t want him to do so.
A bid for a second Joe Biden term is “something both Dr. Biden and the family fully support,” NBC quoted a senior Jill Biden adviser as saying, though the first lady did not go so far in her interview.
“He understands government better than anybody else,” the first lady told the network when asked about 2024.
The interview follows a series of reports indicating the first lady has carved out a prominent role inside the White House as her husband’s protector and favored surrogate.

EU Ambassador & Munich Security Conference Chair Headline Chinese Communist Party Influence Event.
The Vice Chairman of the Munich Security Conference and a former Ambassador of the European Union to the U.S. headlined an event sponsored by a leading Chinese Communist Party influence group, The National Pulse can reveal.
The group, the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), has been identified by the U.S. federal government as seeking to “influence foreign governments to take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing.”
CUSEF functions as part China’s “United Front,” which works “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party.” The U.S. State Department has also compared the effort to the Chinese regime’s “magic weapon” to advance its preferred policies by infiltrating American politics, media, and academia.
Despite these concerning ties, Former Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the U.S., David O’Sullivan, and Former Deputy Ambassador of Germany to the U.S., Boris Ruge, headlined a virtual webinar hosted by the group on September 20th. The event, which “assess[ed] the U.S-China relationship and how it informs European politics, trade, and perspectives,” was held in collaboration with the Association of Former Members of Congress.
“The webinar covered the challenges of the U.S.-China relationship. In particular, the speakers provided insights from a European point of view on issues relating to Taiwan, the current war in Ukraine, the changes in European perception of China, possible future EU engagement and partnership with China, and more,” explained a synopsis of the event.
O’Sullivan, currently the Director General of the Institute of International and European Affairs, has held a variety of influential positions within the European Union including Chief Operating Officer of the European External Action Service (EEAS), which is the diplomatic service and combined foreign and defense ministry of the EU.
Ruge also has ties to the EU’s military infrastructure, as he currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, the premier forum for international security issues.
The event was moderated by Professor Alejandro Reyes, a former Senior Policy Adviser within the Canadian Foreign Ministry who has also worked with the Clinton Global Initiative and the World Economic Forum.

Millions Have Already Voted in the 2022 Midterms
More than 6.1 million people have already voted early across the United States, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Election Project.
So far, according to the project, 5 million mail-in ballots have been returned and nearly 1.1 million people have voted early and in person.
Florida is one of the states leading the way, according to Michael McDonald, a professor at the University of Florida. As of Friday, he wrote, more than a million people have cast early votes in the Sunshine State.
Michigan and California are the other two states to see more than a million early votes for the midterm elections, according to the project.
Among states that provide data on voters’ ages, some 56.5 percent of early voters are over the age of 65, while another 34.2 percent are between the ages of 41 and 65. Fewer than 10 percent of early voters are aged 40 and younger, the data revealed.
McDonald and others have noted that early data suggests 2022 will have a high turnout for a midterm election and that, generally, midterms tend to draw fewer voters than presidential elections. Previous trends suggest that the party of the president also tends to lose seats in Congress during midterms.
