The key code is the secret password. The code generated when you click on 'get code' in reply box. No matter which authenticator you are using, you will only use that same secret key code or password w/EVERY post. The authenticator, whichever one you use will generate a new totp code for every post and only last a few seconds. The totp code changes w/EVERY POST (well unless you have lightening fingers and can post moar than once in a few seconds b4 totp code expires). SO, copy the key code generated from the reply box to set up whichever authenticator you choose, SAVE the key code by copy/paste into a notepad or other safe place (write down if you must). If your key code disappears, then copy/paste or manually RE-ENTER (the one you set up authenticator and the only one you will use), RE_ENTER into the password box in reply box (next to get code). If you generate a NEW key code, you have to reinstall whichever authenticator you choose and set it up w/THAT new key code, otherwise the totp code you input will not match and will return an invalid totp message. This is not a bug frens, it's a feature. kek

Sometimes clearing cache helps to alleviate this server took too long error. I will try, but busy atm, so may have to look at later.

Well, that post pb had a pic asking about what is a password, this post >>17700779 is regarding questions about key code. Generating a new key code is not necessary once authenticator is set up. You must use the same key code, unless you want to keep setting up an authenticator for every post. I'm using bluestacks for android w/google android authenticator and haven't tried codeanons authentigator. So far, it's performing quite well and my keycode stays in the box, even when turning my computer off.

Oh, if I remember correctly codeanon said if your time isn't synced between device and authentigator, it would return an invalid response. So it was an option if you'd done everything correctly to make sure times between devices were in sync. I think.

The box isn't generating anything, unless you click get code. Instead of clicking get code, use ONLY the saved (saved in notepad) key code you used in the original, to set up your authenticator.

Mainly just wanted a visual to see what anons were talking about (middle boxes). I Don't wanna mess up my authenticator by trying the authentigator. Cuz when I added the brave web extension, it made it where I had to re-enter the key code every post. So gonna stick to what I'm using, as it saves it across web pages and even if I x out of brave or turn off my computer. Gotta run kids. GOOD LUCK ANONS!

**Clear your cache, sometimes that helps when server took too long happens.
