i located a Q reference point, from 1998. "the hunted has become the hunter" in an episode of the X files aired 15th feb 1998, season 5, episode 11. titled 'kill switch'

the episode is about a rogue AI that has fled onto the web, it has killed off the people looking for it, and by the end of the episode it has successfully concealed its mainframe location and out survived its pursuers

bonus scene where the AI tricks multiple gangs into committing an assassination on its behalf.

there is also numerous occasions the AI uses DOD satellites to fire energy weapons/DEW from space and obliterate targets on the ground…
