Indran Amirthanayagam is a Sri Lankan American poet and diplomat. As a diplomat, he directed the Regional Environment, Science, Technology and Health HUB Office (REO) for South America based at the US Embassy in Lima from 2009 to 2013. A member of the United States Foreign Service since 1993, Amirthanayagam has served across the globe in Canada, South India, Mexico City, Ivory Coast, and Buenos Aires.
