As we draw closer to polling day, there is really only one question anyone needs to have in their head. Are things better or worse than when America last went to the polls? The problem is that you can answer that differently state by state. A lot of people who fled California in the last couple of years, for instance, can say that their lives have improved by moving to Tennessee, Florida or Texas. So let me narrow the question down a bit. Can anybody in any Democratic-run city honestly say that their lives — and city — have improved over the last couple of years? That’s a slightly easier question.

On Friday, Twitter owner Elon Musk reportedly cut 3,700 Twitter employees, or over half of the company’s workforce globally, to reign in Twitter’s costs, according to the Verge. (Snip) One self-absorbed employee was so upset after learning she lost her HR job at Twitter that she posted a photo of herself crying. To prevent sabotage, Twitter temporarily shut down all of its offices and disabled badge access to all physical locations. An email was sent to its employees on Thursday informing them to “go home and not return to the offices on Friday.”

As the midterms approach, one way of looking at America’s current disaster is that we, the American people, were lab rats. And since 2021, the Left were the mad scientists, eager to try out their crackpot leftist experiments on us. The result is that the housing market is tottering on the verge of collapse. As interest rates soar, our $31 trillion national debt crowds out everything else in the budget. Inflation roars at a rate of 8-9 percent per annum, higher than at any time in 40 years. Yet the prices of the stuff of life—food, fuel, shelter, energy—are far steeper still than the official rate.
