Good point. Gillibrand was a Representative from 2007-2009.
Her start in the Senate sure was…. interdasting….
She took over HRC's Senate spot when BHO appointed HRC Secretary of State in 2009. NY Governor David Patterson appointed her to HRC's old position. She was then "elected" the following year in 2010 and has been serving ever since.
