Kerry was joined on the WEF panel by fellow DC swamp veteran John Podesta, who now serves as Biden’s senior advisor on clean energy innovation and implementation. The former Chief of Staff for Barack Obama and longtime Clinton ally said that President Biden’s ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ will be integral in pushing the climate movement forward through various tax incentives and other methods to prop up supposedly green industries.
While the current global energy and inflationary crises were caused in large part by left-wing governments, such as the Biden administration, spurning domestic fossil fuel production, Podesta said that the Inflation Reduction act will serve as the “backdrop and the background for those investments across those sectors, whether you are talking about clean power, carbon capture, green hydrogen, clean manufacturing.”
Podesta went on to say that it should be “exciting” that global leaders are seeking to enact a “transformation of the global economy on a size and scale that’s never occurred in human history”.
“You should be excited here that you are the point of that spear, transforming the global economy across the range of manufacturing, power, transportation, [and] buildings to produce the result that we are going to give.”

No Matter US Mid-terms, Biden To Stick To Climate Goals: Kerry
US President Joe Biden will stick to his efforts to develop a greener economy even if Republicans win the midterm elections on Tuesday, his climate envoy John Kerry said at COP27.
Biden's Democrats are facing a gargantuan struggle to hang on to Congress against Republicans who are less favourable to international action on climate change.
A Republican victory could be a boon to former president Donald Trump, who had pulled the United States out of the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change. Biden brought the United States back into the pact.
Speaking on the sidelines of the UN's COP27 climate summit in Egypt, Kerry said the administration hopes for a favourable outcome in the election.
"Even if we don't, President Biden is more determined than ever to continue what we are doing," Kerry said.
"And most of what we are doing cannot be changed by anybody else who comes along. … The marketplace has made its decision to do what we need to do to respond to the climate crisis."
Some 100 world leaders were attending the summit on Monday and Tuesday but Biden will come on Friday after the midterms. He then heads to Cambodia for the annual US-ASEAN summit and then on to Indonesia for a G20 summit.

All you need to do is apply a firm tap where it narrows, and it will come out easier.

Local Ukrainian officials say representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church held a procession to drive out "demons" at the Azovstal steel plant where Ukrainian forces made a stand during the final days of the siege of Mariupol.
The Ukrainian-recognized city council of Mariupol, a port city occupied by Russia, reacted with shock to the exorcism in a Telegram post Tuesday. The reported church procession comes as Russian officials have increasingly adopted religious language that has presented the invasion of Ukraine as a battle against Satan.
The church's ceremony included a march through the city's streets that was intended to "sanctify" it, according to the post by the Mariupol City Council. The post included images of solemn people holding religious iconography against the backdrop of damaged buildings. In one image, people are standing next to a weathered rocket stuck in the ground with what appears to be the Azovstal steel plant in the background.
And one more thing.
