Why did Kewsong Lee resign?

In this article, we shall explore about Kewsong Lee as we find out the reason for his resignation. Kewsong Lee, a Korean-American entrepreneur who was the former CEO of the private equity firm The Carlyle Group, was born on August 12, 1965.
In 1986, Lee graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. in Applied Mathematics in Economics.
Lee joined Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm, in 1992. Lee participated in transactions with firms like Neiman Marcus, Aramark, TransDigm, and MBIA while he was working at Warburg.
Lee also took on the responsibility of heading up the global credit unit in 2016.
The company stated in October 2017 that its founders would no longer serve as the day-to-day executives of the company but would continue to serve as executive chairman of the board of directors.
As of January 1, 2018, they named Lee and Glenn Youngkin to take their place as co-CEOs.
Why did Kewsong Lee resign?
Due to a disagreement in the contract extension negotiations, Lee resigned as CEO on August 8, 2022.
