To me the "self suicide" part seems to be referring to, if a reporter steps outside bounds, then they are committing career suicide. That there are times when the hammer gets dropped on good reporters like JS who are speaking the truth. I'm sure they would have put Hannity on the sidelines had he not shut up about Seth Rich.
Seems his tweets were more likely a "dead man switch" showing he was no longer in control of his acct. not showing he was actually dead or in danger.
