PROTO and the Future of 8chan/QResearch

Requiring proto membership is not locking down the site. Anons with accounts can still post. PROTO is making the site much harder to spam because spammer can be kicked out, and info set to the authorities. It is the last ditch effort to save a site the is the origin point for a great free speech movement.

If 8kun weren't here, some anons think they would just go to another site. What site? Any open site that gets bombarded will have the same problems we have, including End. The admins there just scrapped their new captcha because it does not stop the spammer.

We are at a crossroads.

Right now, many anons wait for PROTO to be turned off, then post.

Glad we are all still here, still willing to be part of this unique effort.

But if if no one supports this site by being here when we are under attack, what do you think will happen? And in the not too distant future.

As God is my witness, will do whatever I can to ensure QR continues into the future. Whatever happens, am here with this board until the end.

Godspeed.

not trying to rip anybody.

the problem is that spamming is illegal and deserves a legal remedy but if it's not forthcoming, sites are left to fend for themselves

Anons and site owner are both trying to do their best

none of us is responsible for the present state of affairs

Had 8kun been left to its own devices, we would have been dealing with the ordinary kind of problems we've faced in the past

but that's not what happened

we all seek solutions to a bad situation

in the end, it's the site owner who decides what he will do, it is his site

The analogy of customers paying for a service - not apt

we are not customers of 8chan, we don't pay a dime

Site does not owe us anything - it's only because its owner values free speech that he's making extraordinary efforts to keep the it going

There is a solution proposed, it is just not the kind of solution you prefer

thus might not seem like a solution at all

each must decide. what will happen, will happen
