hmmmmmmmmm

Iranian parliament votes to punish protesters with the death penalty. Over 14,000 protesters have been arrested.

The parliament in Iran voted to punish protesters with the death penalty after more than 14,000 people were arrested in protests against the government.

Lawmakers voted overwhelmingly in a vote of 227 to 190 to press the judiciary to impose the harshest punishment for those openly opposing the government.

Protests erupted across the country after Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested in September by the morality police after she allegedly failed to comply with stringent women's dress regulations surrounding head coverings. She died while in custody, and critics accused the police of beating her while she was detained. Authorities have denied the claims.

Women have protested against the government by burning their hijabs and cutting their hair in public, which are both against the rules imposed by the Iranian regime. At least 326 people died in the clashes between protesters and government police.

The U.N. estimated that over 14,000 protesters have been arrested in the protests, and more than 1,000 people have been charged with crimes ranging from "waging war against God" to "corruption on earth."

On Friday, human rights experts from the United Nations issued a stern letter demanding the Iranian regime walk back the extreme punishments for protesting.

“We urge Iranian authorities to stop using the death penalty as a tool to squash protests," the letter read, "and reiterate our call to immediately release all protesters who have been arbitrarily deprived of their liberty for the sole reason of exercising their legitimate rights to freedom of opinion and expression, association and peaceful assembly and for their actions to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms through peaceful means."

On Sunday, the first death sentence was ordered against a protester who was accused of “disturbing public order and comfort, community and colluding to commit a crime against national security.”

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei accused the protesters of trying to westernize Iran.

"They want the Iranian nation to adopt the same beliefs as American abd British leaders and so on," he said.

"This is their goal and their plan," he added. "Of course the Iranian nation slapped them in the mouth and will keep slapping them in the mouth in the future."

Texas Gov. Abbott Calls For Investigation Into “Widespread Problems” with Harris County Elections – Including Insufficient Paper Ballots in Republican Precincts

Texas Governor Greg Abbott on Monday called for an investigation into “widespread problems” with Harris County elections last week.

One Harris County race in particular is raising eyebrows.

Corrupt Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo ‘won’ her reelection by nearly 16,000 votes against a popular Republican opponent.

World Cup Warning: Pork, Porn, Sex Toys, and LGBT Flags Could Get Fans Arrested in Qatar

As the soccer world prepares for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, many are warning fans of the things that could get them arrested while attending the games in the strict Muslim country.

British authorities, for instance, recently released a list of items that fans should leave home as they pack for Qatar, the New York Post reported.

“Importing drugs, alcohol, pornography, pork products, and religious books and material into Qatar is illegal,” UK fans are told on the UK Foreign Travel Advice government website.

Qatar has noted that beer will be sold to fans in designated areas, but alcohol of any kind is prohibited outside those areas, World Cup officials say.

But even “rude gestures” can get the cops on their case.

“Swearing and making rude gestures are considered obscene acts, and offenders can be jailed and/or deported,” UK officials warn. “Take particular care when dealing with the police and other officials.”

Provocative clothing and open expressions of intimacy and gay pride are also verboten. No kissing, and women “must cover their shoulders and avoid wearing short skirts,” the UK travel advice continues.

Indeed, shorts and sleeveless tops are on the no-no list for both men and women.

The site also adds, “Importing drugs, alco1hol, pornography, pork products, and religious books and material into Qatar is illegal.”

It all adds up to a “mistake” as far as ex-FIFA president Joseph Blatter is concerned. Even though he OKayed the choice, he thinks the World Cup should never have ended up in a country with a legal system based on shariah law.

“It was a bad choice. And I was responsible for that as president at the time,” Blatter recently said, the paper reported.
