GOP Senators: Biden Using DHS to Funnel Taxpayer Money to Open Borders Lobby

President Joe Biden is using the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to funnel American tax dollars to open borders groups, according to Sens. Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN).

Last year, Biden’s DHS created the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) Case Management Pilot Program to provide mental health services, legal services, and other social services to illegal aliens while they are in deportation proceedings.

In a letter to top DHS officials, Marshall and Hagerty said Biden is using the program to merely funnel millions in American taxpayer money via federal contracts to open borders groups like Church World Service with ties to the “Abolish ICE” movement and a key player in the mass migration lobby.

“It is appalling, though not surprising from the current administration, that a program designed to augment Alternatives to Detention would be used as a ploy to further leftist ideology instead of enhancing the critical mission tasked to the Department,” the GOP senators write:

Last year, DHS announced that it was seeking members to serve on the National Board of the Case Management Pilot Program. Earlier this year, DHS announced that Church World Service (CWS) would act as the Board’s Secretariat and Fiscal Agent. CWS has been at the forefront of pro-open border and anti-enforcement activities for years, going as far as advocating for the diverting of funds away from U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enforcement activities and even ultimately supporting the “Abolish ICE” movement. That organization now has a fiduciary responsibility directly tied to ICE, detention matters, and the immigration enforcement process overall. [Emphasis added]

This questionable governance only gets worse, as a recent contract solicitation makes it clear that CWS would be primarily responsible in determining which local government or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) would be awarded portions of the contract. With core beliefs so fervently against the existence of ICE and the enforcement of our laws, we cannot trust that this process will be transparent and that CWS will not simply select solicitations from those that politically and ideologically align with its own warped world-view. Departmental leadership is derelict in its duty to allow this blatant conflict to continue unchecked. [Emphasis added]

Marshall and Hagerty are asking DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for a slew of information related to Church World Service’s involvement with the agency and the new pilot program.

For months, Biden’s DHS has been pressed to reveal the extent to which left-wing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are profiting off federal contracts to bus and fly border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States interior.

Since February 2021, the Biden administration has briefly apprehended and released about 1.4 million border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities. NGOs like Catholic Charities and other groups are contracted by the federal government, in nearly all cases, to provide transportation and services to those released from DHS custody.

PA Voters File Lawsuit to Delay Certification After Officials Detoured from Counting Center into a Closed Building for 6 Hours on Election Day

Pennsylvania election observers filed a complaint against the Delaware County Board of Elections after county officials took a detour on election night with the county’s ballots and v-drives into a closed building for six hours. Poll watchers were prevented from entering the building at the time.

The county also deleted 194 voter registrations that were deleted after election day whose ballots were counted.

That is the definition of voter fraud.

It’s too bad we no longer have a DOJ or law enforcement who will investigate actions like this. They’re too busy plotting against Trump supporters.

Via Bill Lawrence Online.

An emergency motion for a temporary restraining order to delay the certifying of Delaware County, Pa. results of the Nov. 8 election was filed, yesterday, Nov. 15, in Common Pleas Court.

Plaintiffs Leah Hoopes, Gregory Stenstrom and Nicole Missino would like the certification stopped until a hearing at which they would present evidence that the county detoured the election-night journey of the county’s physical ballots and v-drives for six hours into a closed building — which poll watchers were prohibited from entering — before taking them to the centralized counting center at the Wharf Building in Chester.

Read that again.

Physical ballots and v-drives were reportedly taken to a closed building without observers present and kept there for six hours before being taken to the counting center. This would shatter the chain of custody along with breaking the law that the ballots go directly to the counting center.

The plaintiffs say they can further show the county mailed official ballots to unverified voters and deleted at least 2,778 records of requests for mail-in ballots.

Here is the court document filed in Delaware County.

Multiple ‘terrorist’ attacks reported in Iran

The government says the attackers fatally shot multiple civilians and security officers

At least five people were killed in the Iranian city of Izeh on Wednesday, as armed gunmen opened fire on civilians with automatic weapons, local officials said. Attacks on security personnel were also reported in two other Iranian cities, Isfahan and Qorveh. No group has claimed responsibility yet.

According to Valiollah Hayati from the Khuzestan provincial governor’s office, at 5:30pm local time, two men on motorcycles opened fire on the marketplace in Izeh using “military weapons” and killing “five citizens so far.” Among them were an elderly woman and a child, he added.

The death toll may rise, as multiple people have been admitted to local hospitals with gunshot wounds and are “in critical condition,” Hayati told Press TV. The attack happened as security forces were trying to disperse a group of rioters, Iranian officials said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which the government in Tehran describes as an act of terrorism. In a possibly related incident, a religious school for women in Izeh has been set on fire by rioters.

Two members of the Basij security militia were fatally shot in a separate attack in Isfahan, also by gunmen riding motorcycles, the state news agency IRNA reported.

A similar shooting took place in Qorveh, in the Kurdistan province, according to a tweet by Tehran University professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi.

“Western/Saudi intelligence agencies are shifting from failed riots to open terror,” he added.

Marandi was referring to the riots that have shaken Iran since mid-September, after the death of a young woman in police custody. Mahsa Amini, 22, was reportedly arrested for not wearing her hijab properly. Iranian authorities insist her death was due to a pre-existing condition, while critics of the Islamic revolutionary government say she was murdered and demand “regime change.”

Anti-government activists have flooded social media with claims such as that over 15,000 detained protesters had been sentenced to death – which Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared, but then deleted after it turned out to be fake news.

Craig Foster elected chair of the Australian Republican Movement (ARM) last night. But in his first address to ARM members, he flagged a change to how the movement operates.

Peter FitzSimons has been the leader of the ARM for the past seven years. The author, SMH columnist and former rugby union player has been the recognisable face of an organisation which has supported the idea of an Australian head of state since 1991. It counted FitzSimons, novelist Thomas Keneally and Malcolm Turnbull among its founding members, and the latter went on to spearhead the campaign leading up to the 1999 referendum which was defeated, to the surprise of many at the time.

FitzSimons announced his resignation on October 1. Former footballer and SBS football analyst, now a human rights advocate, Craig Foster, was soon announced as the front-runner to take over.

Foster’s first public human rights campaign was to bring home Bahrain footballer Hakeem al-Araibi. Hakeem had been granted political asylum in Australia, but was detained while on honeymoon in Thailand in 2018 at the behest of the oppressive Bahrain regime who wanted him extradited. Hakeem was eventually returned to Australia after intense international pressure was placed on FIFA as well as Bahrain. Foster used the worldwide publicity garnered through this campaign as a platform to criticise Australian refugee policy:

Australia needs to look at how we treat every human being that comes to these shores, irrespective of how they arrive… We are all equal, and should all be treated with equal dignity, care and respect.

Perhaps to underline his strong belief in equality, his first act as chairman of the ARM was to call for a change to its constitution to mandate a female co-chair. In the video published this morning, stating:

I think it would be a wonderful message to every Australian to say that those in the highest leadership positions of the ARM movement are sharing the chair position between both a female and a male.

Former defense secretary Mark Esper says Donald Trump is ‘unfit for office’

Donald Trump’s former defense secretary slammed his ex-boss on Wednesday, calling him “unfit for office” a day after the 45th president announced the launch of his 2024 campaign.

“I think he’s unfit for office,” Mark Esper said of the 76-year-old Trump in an interview with CNN.

“He puts himself before country,” the former Pentagon chief continued, adding, “To me that’s shortcoming number one, and then I believe he has integrity and character issues as well.”

Esper went on to describe one of those “character issues” as Trump’s difficulty with telling the truth, and said that he believes Americans desire a more trustworthy commander in chief.

“I don’t think he’s an honest person. We saw the falsehoods that came out of his remarks last night … Americans need a leader they can trust,” Esper said.

Like many who watched Trump’s Mar-a-Lago announcement, the former Army officer panned Trump’s Tuesday speech.

“I thought his remarks were very subdued and uninspiring,” Esper said.

The former secretary of defense also blamed Trump for the Republican Party’s failure to make more gains in Congress and state offices in the midterm elections.

“The election last week is an example that Donald Trump is incapable of winning elections,” Esper said. “He’s done more to help the Democrats than the Republicans.”

Esper, who was fired from his post after Trump lost the 2020 election, called on Republicans and Democrats to both find new party standard-bearers.

“I think that it’s time for the Republican Party, and frankly, both parties, to move on to a next generation of leaders, and particularly leaders that can unify our country and get us back to a more normal governance where we treat each other with dignity and respect, and we work on policy issues and not personal attacks,” Esper said

Esper hailed recent Trump foe, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) as one of those in the “next generation” that look like promising presidential candidates.

Victoria's Opposition Leader is referred to the state's corruption watchdog in major blow to his campaign against Daniel Andrews

Vic Opposition Leader Matthew Guy has been referred to corruption watchdog

The investigation into Mr Guy and chief of staff Mitch Catlin was referred to IBAC

They are being investigated over an alleged breach of funding & disclosure laws

Victoria's Opposition Leader Matthew Guy has been referred to the state's anti-corruption watchdog over allegations of trying to circumvent political donation laws - nine days out from the state election.

The Victorian Electoral Commission on Wednesday referred to Mr Guy and his former chief of staff Mitch Catlin to the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission for further investigation.

Electoral commissioner Warwick Gately said his organisation had exhausted its attempts to fully investigate what may constitute a breach of Victoria's funding and disclosure laws under the Electoral Act.

'We became aware of suggestions that Mr Catlin was alleged to have tried to circumvent donation disclosure laws,' he said in a statement.

'It's my responsibility to ensure compliance with all electoral laws and ensure all participants are held to the same standard.'

Mr Catlin resigned in August after it was exposed he allegedly asked a billionaire Liberal donor to make more than $100,000 in payments to his private marketing company.

A contract for the proposed arrangement was sent to Mr Guy's personal email address, but he has categorically denied it was signed or agreed.

Mr Guy has repeatedly said he and the Liberal Party have fully cooperated with the electoral commission and denied exploiting a legal loophole to stymie the probe.

But in its statement on Thursday, the electoral commission said it had 'not received full cooperation from those connected to its investigation'.

'While the VEC is not in a position to allege wrongdoing based on the allegations it has sought to investigate, the possibility of offences…have also not been able to be discounted.'

The revelation comes as the Liberals refer the issue of group ticket voting and deals done by so-called 'preference whisperer' Glenn Druery to the integrity watchdog.

A covert video exposing the backroom preference dealings was leaked to the Herald Sun by the Angry Victorians Party.

In the footage, Mr Druery offers his services to get candidates elected as part of the state's group voting ticket system.
