Why do "they" want us to sign in electronically?

What can "they" do with our electronic signatures?

Request absentee ballots in the names of apathetic voters?

Request in-person ballots in the names of apathetic voters when no one is around in early voting, to be run thru the machines after hours, or during slack periods?

The signature is there, the voter "must have been present". Right? Right?
