Outrageous! FDA Backtracks During Trial and Now Claims ‘Not Taking Ivermectin for COVID-19’ was Merely a Recommendation

In December 2021, the FDA warned Americans not to use Ivermectin that “is intended for animals” to treat or prevent COVID-19.

This was a very controversial statement at the time since the FDA pushed the drug on African migrants back in 2015 and the drug was praised in several scientific journals.

Despite this the US government condemned its use for COVID-19.

Fast forward to today…

During a recent hearing, government lawyers argued that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was only giving advice and it was not mandatory when it told people to “stop” taking Ivermectin for COVID-19.

The Nov. 1 hearing in federal court in Texas was for a complaint made by three doctors who claim the FDA’s statements on ivermectin, an anti-parasitic that has shown positive benefits in some trials against COVID-19, violated their constitutional right to practice medicine, Epoch Times reported.

“The cited statements were not directives,” said Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers. “They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do. They said, for example, why you should not take ivermectin to treat COVID-19. They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin.”

“They use informal language, that is true… It’s conversational but not mandatory,” he continued.

The FDA has approved Ivermectin for use in other vector-borne diseases, but not for COVID-19. The Food and Drug Administration warned the public via its Twitter account that Ivermectin is only safe for use in horses but not for human intake against Covid-19.

“You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it,” the caption reads.

A second post stated: “Hold your horses, y’all. Ivermectin may be trending, but it still isn’t authorized or approved to treat COVID-19.”

Ukraine shelled radioactive waste storage – official

The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant was heavily targeted two days in a row

Ukrainian troops have shelled Europe’s biggest nuclear power plant over the last two days, Renat Karchaa, an adviser at Russia’s state nuclear operator Rosenergoatom, said.

Karchaa said the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant was targeted on Sunday morning following a barrage fired at the facility the previous day, when six projectiles hit the cooling system of one of the rectors and two struck the radioactive waste storage. He added that the employees were unharmed.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the plant was shelled twice on Sunday, while 11 “large-caliber artillery shells” were fired on Saturday. The ministry said that projectiles fell close to the reactors, and that the fire was also directed at power lines.

“It is impossible to assess the consequences of the shelling because there is a danger of new attacks,” Karchaa said. The plant had not been targeted that much since late September. according to the official.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), whose team is monitoring the situation on the ground, said that “more than a dozen blasts were heard within a short period of time” on Sunday. It added that experts could see some of the explosions from their windows.

“Whoever is behind this, it must stop immediately. As I have said many times before, you’re playing with fire!” IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said.

Russian soldiers seized the plant shortly after Moscow launched its military operation in Ukraine in late February. Zaporozhye Region, together with three other former Ukrainian territories, eventually joined Russia after holding referendums on the matter in September.

The ‘Nazi’ Who Threatened Attacks on NYC Synagogues is Actually Jewish

According to CNN, which has painted the situation as being indicative of a massive Nazi militancy of angry Americans fixated on hurting Jewish people, community organizers and Democrat politicians responded swiftly to the arrests, making public statements to “denounce antisemitism.”

“The message is clear,” says New York City Mayor Eric Adams. “Anti-semitism has no home in New York City.”

“If you come here to perpetrate acts of hateful violence, you will be stopped by the finest police force in the world. Thank you to the NYPD for their quick work in bringing these bigots to justice,” Adams went on.

18-year-old Pharrell Smith claimed online that he was a white man, and part of a white power terror group that would be at the Lee County fair to “kill every NEGRO that we lay eye contact on.”

“Be prepared,” Smith added in his phony threat, only to later be arrested when the threats were traced back to his home computer.

Countries at UN Climate Talks Agree to ‘Loss and Damage’ Fund to Pay for Poor Nations

At the United Nations COP27 summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, representatives from nearly 200 countries have agreed to set up a “loss and damage” fund intended to help vulnerable countries cope with natural disasters.

The agreement early Sunday will establish a fund in response to “loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change.”

The deal was regarded as a win for poorer nations that have long called for monetary support after having faced worsened floods, droughts, heat waves, famines, and storms.

The United Nations climate agency published a draft proposal for the deal on Saturday, which said that parties would “Decide to establish new funding arrangements for assisting developing countries that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change, in responding to loss and damage, including with a focus on addressing loss and damage by providing and assisting in mobilizing new and additional resources, and that these new arrangements complement and include sources, funds, processes, and initiatives under and outside the Convention and the Paris Agreement.”

The “loss and damage” fund is largely intended to benefit the most vulnerable nations. But middle-income countries severely affected by natural disasters could potentially also receive aid.

The draft proposal states that a “transitional committee” would make recommendations for representatives of the countries to then review and adopt at the next climate summit, COP29, in November 2023.

Those recommendations would cover “identifying and expanding sources of funding,” which refers to deciding which countries should pay into the new fund.

The fund would initially seek to receive funding from developed countries, as well as other private and public entities, including international financial institutions.

China—the world’s biggest emitter of carbon—and other major emerging economies would not initially be required to contribute to the fund, but the option would be negotiated in the future, according to the agreement Sunday. This is a key request by the European Union and the United States; the two had argued that China and other large polluters currently classified as developing countries have enough money and are also obliged to pay into the fund.

According to the proposal, the transitional committee “shall have 24 members, to be nominated no later than 15 December 2022, comprising 10 members from developed country Parties and 14 members from developing country Parties.”

In particular, the group will be composed of three members from Africa, including a representative of the President of COP27; three members from Asia and the Pacific, including a representative of the incoming President of COP28; three members from Latin America and the Caribbean; two members from small island developing States; two members from the least developed countries; and one member from a developing country Party not part of the other categories.

After the decision on the fund was approved, talks were put on hold for 30 minutes so delegates could read texts of other measures they were to vote on.

FTX’s ‘chief regulatory officer’ Dan Friedberg tied to online poker scandal

The top “regulatory officer” at fallen crypto exchange FTX was embroiled in a notorious online poker cheating scandal more than a decade ago — and was caught on tape allegedly aiding the perpetrators of the fraud, according to reports.

Dan Friedberg — a lawyer who was FTX’s chief regulatory officer in the months leading up to its collapse and who also did a stint as its general counsel — also had served as an attorney for UltimateBet, whose collapse was considered one of the largest online gambling scandals in history at the time.

In the alleged scheme — which reportedly claimed actor Ben Affleck among its victims — employees between 2005 and 2008 were accused of using a software exploit dubbed “God mode” to bilk players out of anywhere between $20 million and upwards of $50 million.

The scandal drew coverage from CBS News’ “60 Minutes” and spawned a cult documentary called “UltimateBeat: Too Much To Lose.”

Friedberg, who reportedly resigned from FTX company earlier this month as it filed for bankruptcy, appears to have since scrubbed his LinkedIn account, which now displays a message “this page doesn’t exist”. Online bios for Friedberg said he joined FTX after a stint at the Seattle-based law firm Fenwick & West, where he chaired the payments systems practice.

FTX, meanwhile, has taken down an “about” page that listed short bios for its top executives, including disgraced ex-CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, FTX co-founder Gary Wang and Friedberg, as well as links to their LinkedIn pages.

The UltimateBet scandal arose after revelations that some of the site’s employees were using the software exploit to peek at online opponents’ cards during hands and bet accordingly.

In 2008, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, the Canada-based regulatory body that licensed UltimateBet, said it “found clear and convincing evidence” that Russ Hamilton, a UltimateBet co-owner and consultant, “was the main person responsible” for the scam, along with a handful of accomplices.

Friedberg’s involvement surfaced after recordings of his conversations with the poker site’s top brass was leaked to the public in 2013. The recordings were taken during a meeting in early 2008 between Hamilton, Friedberg and other executives and were reportedly leaked by Travis Makar, Hamilton’s longtime assistant.

Friedberg can be heard on tape discussing how UltimateBet should respond and handle media inquiries. Friedberg also advised company executives on a strategy to limit payouts to victims by withholding the extent of the scheme.

Supreme Court Justice Alito Accused of Leaking Opinion, Strongly Denies It

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito denied being involved in an alleged leak eight years ago of a religious-freedom decision that held family-owned businesses did not have to provide birth control benefits to employees, after a New York Times article on Nov. 19 first reported the leak and alleged Alito may have been involved in it.

The media report comes as the Supreme Court continues to investigate the unprecedented leak earlier this year of the draft majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, in which the court overturned Roe v. Wade (1973) and held that there is no constitutional right to abortion, returning the regulation of abortion to the states. The 5–4 opinion in Dobbs, written by Alito, was formally released by the court in June. Alito described the leak as a “grave betrayal.”

Alito also wrote the majority opinion (pdf) in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby (2014), in which the court held 5–4 that under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 a “closely held” business does not have to offer birth control coverage to employees if the company is opposed to contraception on religious grounds.

Hobby Lobby operates a successful chain of arts and crafts stores. Company officials took a public stance against the Affordable Care Act of 2010, citing the Obama-era law’s mandated contraception and morning-after pill coverage for employees. It was reported last month that founder David Green, an evangelical Christian who has a net worth of $14 billion, has given away the company’s voting stock because he “chose God.”

The Hobby Lobby ruling earned Alito the ire of the left, just as in June of this year when the conservative jurist authored the majority opinion in Dobbs.

The Dobbs decision, a draft of which was leaked to the media earlier this year, prompted death threats and protests at conservative justices’ homes, a foiled attempt to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and targeted harassment of justices in public by left-wing groups.

The New York Times article states that the Rev. Rob L. Schenck, formerly a pro-life leader who used to run the non-profit group, Faith and Action in the Nation’s Capital, sent a letter (pdf) to Chief Justice John Roberts in the summer claiming he learned of the outcome of the Hobby Lobby case three weeks before it was officially handed down.

In the letter, Schenck said he obtained the inside information when a donor to his nonprofit told him she had dined at the home of Alito and his wife before Hobby Lobby was decided and learned during the dinner that the court would rule in favor of the company. Schenck wrote that he used the information to prepare for the upcoming decision and advised Hobby Lobby’s CEO Steve Green, the son of David Green, of the ruling days before the opinion was formally published.

“Considering there may be a severe penalty to be paid by whoever is responsible for the initial leak of the recent draft opinion [in Dobbs], [I] thought this previous incident might bear some consideration by you and others involved in the process. Of course, I would be happy to fully cooperate should you find any value in other details surrounding what I have transmitted here.”

Special Counsel Investigating Trump Was Key Figure In IRS Targeting Scandal

Jack Smith, the special counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate former president Donald Trump’s possession of classified information, was a key figure in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)’s infamous targeting of conservative non-profits, according to a 2014 report by Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.

On Oct. 8, 2010, Smith, then-Chief of the DOJ Criminal Division’s Public Integrity Section at the time, called a meeting with former IRS official Lois Lerner “to discuss how the IRS could assist in the criminal enforcement of campaign-finance laws against politically active nonprofits,” according to testimony from Richard Pilger, then director of the section’s Election Crimes Branch and subordinate of Smith’s, to the Oversight Committee. Lerner eventually resigned from the IRS in 2015 following criticism of her targeting of conservative groups when denying or delaying tax-exempt status.

“This seems egregious to me – could we ever charge a [18 U.S.C. §] 371 conspiracy to violate laws of the USA for misuse of such non-profits to get around existing campaign finance laws + limits?,” Smith wrote in an email to colleagues, per the Oversight Committee report. His email suggested that the department investigate conservative non-profits that reportedly may have violated campaign finance laws, according to The New York Times.

The impetus for the meeting was President Barack Obama’s public criticism of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. FEC, according to the report.

Swedish Parliament Approves Constitutional Amendment Limiting Freedom of the Press

The Swedish parliament has approved a constitutional amendment to criminalise foreign espionage and disclosure of secret information, limiting what the press may report on certain subjects.

The constitutional amendment seeks to make foreign espionage, aggravated foreign espionage, and disclosure of secret information in international cooperation criminal offences and will affect both freedom of expression and freedom of the press in Sweden.

The new changes could see journalists and others, such as whistleblowers, prosecuted for disclosing secret information that may damage Sweden’s relationship with other countries or international organisations, broadcaster SVT reports.

Former Swedish prime minister Magdalena Andersson, the leader of the Social Democrats, stated her support for the amendment saying, “It’s a gap that we have in our legislation and that we need to close. It is about national security.”

Mikael Ruotsi, senior lecturer in constitutional law at Uppsala University who worked on the bill, claimed that it was unlikely journalists would be prosecuted under the constitutional changes, noting that there are existing laws on publishing secret information and these have rarely been applied to media.

But Nils Funcke, a free speech expert, has warned that any changes to freedom of expression and freedom of the press should be proportionate.

“There should be some fine surgery in this. It should not be that you introduce a provision that strikes very broadly, but it should just tackle the problem that you have identified and documented,” he said.

The new law comes as Sweden faces one of the largest espionage cases in recent history after two Iranian-born brothers were charged with spying and handing over secret information to the Russian military intelligence agency GRU.

The older brother worked in the Swedish Security Police (Sapo), Swedish military intelligence, and the Office for Special Acquisition (KDI), a secretive intelligence branch that recruits spies and informants from other countries.

The younger brother, meanwhile, allegedly had contact with Russian intelligence and is accused of organising payments for information.

US quietly announces new Ukraine command with 3-star general

‘Definitely a sign that the US is preparing for a long war in Ukraine and long-term military competition with Russia.’

Lost in the whirlwind of midterm election news last week was an announcement that not only will Washington send $400 million worth of additional weapons to Ukraine, but it is pushing forward with a new joint forces command, to be stationed in Germany, to “handle weapons shipments and personnel training.”

According to the Department of Defense, the new command, which was previously reported this summer, will be officially called the Security Assistance Group Ukraine, or SAGU, and will be based out of U.S. Army Europe and Africa headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany. It will be a led by a 3-star general.

The command will involve 300 U.S. military personnel but will likely work closely with U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s training center in Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels as well as the service’s garrison in Baumholder. In addition, “the thousands of U.S. soldiers now positioned at training areas in Poland and Romania … could factor into the plans,” Stars & Stripes reported.

The new command is expected to have a long term presence, according to Stars & Stripes:

By establishing a dedicated headquarters focused on Ukraine support, the Pentagon is putting in place an organization to carry out what is expected to be a long-term mission.

The Wiesbaden headquarters is slated to be manned with personnel from across the military branches, making it a joint service operation. Tours are initially planned to last between six months and a year, but longer accompanied tours are also possible.

The U.S. government has now provided over $18 billion in weapons to Ukraine, and officials are crediting Kyiv’s successes against the Russian invasion to a constant flow of military assistance to the country. This new command signals a digging-in by the Western powers with the U.S. at the head, my Quincy Institute colleagues tell me.

“It is definitely a sign that the U.S. is preparing for a long war in Ukraine and long-term military competition with Russia,” says George Beebe. “You don’t put a 3-star in charge just to keep track of weapons flows in Ukraine.”

Anatol Lieven suggests this cements the current trajectory of US-European security. “In my view, it indicates that Ukraine is to be a ‘major non-NATO ally’ and a U.S. dependency, and that the U.S. will try to build the whole of European security around support for Ukraine and hostility to Russia.”

Of course, Washington has stopped short of putting U.S. boots on the ground in Ukraine to help President Zelensky in his aim of driving Russia out of his country. Polls continue to show that is not what the American people want. But having a 3-star just over the border, commanding billions in weapons and training efforts is getting as close as it gets.

It will be interesting to see if the administration keeps up its recent ostensible desire for peace negotiations. Certainly this new command “shows Moscow that the alternative to compromise is a U.S. that is ready and willing to provide robust military support for Ukraine for a long time to come,” says Beebe.

41% of Climate Scientists Don’t Believe ‘Climate Change’ Narrative

A whopping 41 percent of climate scientists say they don’t believe the official “climate change” narrative that’s promoted by politicians and the corporate media, a new report has revealed.

The media and political elite are constantly demanding that the public complies with their green agenda by arguing that the “science is settled” on global warming.

The official narrative insists that there is a nearly 99% “consensus” among scientists that the human race is causing a catastrophic “climate emergency” through carbon emissions.

However, a bombshell new survey reveals that 41% of climate scientists dispute these claims.

Those who dispute the “climate change” narrative believe the frequency and severity of extreme weather events had increased significantly in recent years, reported the British website Daily Sceptic.

The survey was conducted in September and October by Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Researchers collected a representative sample of scientists with at least a bachelor’s degree in fields such as meteorology, climatology, physics, geology, and hydrology.

About 57% of the scientists who participated were members of the American Meteorology Society.

MIT emeritus professor Richard Lindzen recently called the current climate narrative “absurd,” according to WND.

Lindzen contends that it’s driven by the trillions of dollars diverted to green projects, grant-dependent academics, and agenda-driven journalists.

Campaigners will discuss Julian Assange's extradition and press freedom

The group will meet with six other heads of state after meeting with Mr Petro

WikiLeaks campaigners are meeting with the president of Colombia and six other heads of state in attempt to raise support for founder Julian Assange.

Assange, 51, is facing extradition from London to the US, where he is charged with violating the US Espionage Act by publishing US military and diplomatic files in 2010 related to the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

WikiLeaks delegation will meet with Colombian President Gustavo Petro tomorrow morning in Bogotá to discuss press freedom and the 'political nature' of Assange's prosecution, sources confirmed to The Mail on Sunday.

The campaigners, including WkiLeaks Editor-in-Chief Kristinn Hrafnsson and Assange's chief of staff Joseph Farrell, are set to meet with six other heads of state in the region following the meeting with Mr Petro.

They hope their south American tour will bear influence on the White House by raising support for Assange and appealing to the Hispanic and Latino population in the US.

Chinese Ambassador to U.S. Schmoozes at Republican Jewish Coalition

China’s ambassador to the United States, Qin Gang, was spotted with his staff at the Venetian resort Saturday evening before the annual gala dinner of the Republican Jewish Coalition.

It was not clear whether Ambassador Gang had been invited or had crashed the party.

Attendees with whom Ambassador Gang interacted during the cocktail reception that preceded dinner told Breitbart News that they had been told by Chinese officials that his appearance was coincidental.

The ambassador was not formally recognized from the podium during the evening’s events, which included speeches by several prominent Republican leaders, including former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

Former President Donald Trump and other dignitaries had addressed the conference earlier on Saturday.

Haley even criticized China during her remarks, calling China the “number-old national security threat” to the United States. It was not clear whether she knew that the ambassador and his entourage had been present. Trump, earlier in the day, had spoken about his plan to bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. from China.

If, in fact, China was attempting to schmooze among prominent Republican politicians, as well as activists and donors to the party, it would not be the first time a foreign nation had attempted to do so specifically by targeting a Jewish organization.

During the Trump administration, the emirate of Qatar attempted, largely unsuccessfully, to improve its image in the U.S. by arranging meetings and trips to Doha.

Stolen Election Update. “Mysterious Sharp Upward Readjustment of the Count for Democratic Candidates”

Fair Elections in Blue States Are Not Possible

The same swing states where the last presidential election was stolen are again showing the mysterious sharp upward readjustment of the vote count for Democrat candidates. In Arizona where election day vote counting is on hold, mysterious tranches of votes keep arriving days after the election for the Democrat candidate for governor–17,000 here, 5,000 there. Tucker Carlson asked who benefits from long delays in vote counting. He investigated and reported that a Democrat won in 12 out of 13 delays in arriving at the outcome.

Here is a report showing the same spikes in votes for Democrats in last Tuesday’s election that we saw in the stolen presidential election. These spikes don’t happen for Republicans except when computer adjustments of the margins of victory for Democrats become too large to be believable. Then there is a spike in the red vote to eliminate the unbelievable margin of Democrat victory. See this.

The fact of the matter is that power, not democracy, is the Democrats’ goal. Their goal of revolutionizing society and over-riding parental authority, the traditional family, and Constitutional rights such as the First and Second Amendments leaves no room for self-government by the people. The American people are being coerced into the revolution by the education system that is used to indoctrinate children and by “crises,” such as the “war on terror” and “covid pandemic,” that are used to vitiate the US Constitution.

The revolution is gradual but steady. Younger generations are born into “the new normality” and think that all that is being erased is “white racism” and an unfounded belief that some sexual preferences are perverse.

Every week that passes brings new restraints on liberty. We have reached the point where challenges to official narratives are censored and MAGA Republicans are fired and refused jobs by a new generation of Woke business executives.

The FBI and Department of Justice (sic) are politicized and used with impunity as weapons in the hands of Democrats.

And still Americans vote for Democrats?

Greater Israel Project

Florida’s DeSantis to GOP Jews: ‘Judea and Samaria is not occupied, but disputed’

Popular governor who may challenge Trump for presidential nomination highlights his support for Israel and the Jewish community in an address to Republican Jewish Coalition

Addressing Jewish Republicans on Saturday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said the West Bank was “not occupied territory” but rather a disputed area that is a historical homeland to Jews, as he talked up his Israel bona fides amid mounting challenges to Donald Trump’s control of the party.

DeSantis was a star attraction at this weekend’s Republican Jewish Coalition conference in Las Vegas, where he delivered a 25-minute speech on Saturday night while Trump was relegated to a less desirable timeslot and only appeared via video.

The popular Florida governor told the crowd about a trade mission he’d led to Israel, “the biggest trade mission Florida’s ever done.”

“We were the first statewide elected officials to do public events in Judea and Samaria,” DeSantis said, using the biblical names for the West Bank as favored by right-wing Israelis. “We understand history. We know those are thousands of years of connection to the Jewish people.”

“I don’t care what the State Department says. They are not occupied territory, it is disputed territory. You gotta know the history,” DeSantis said to applause.

DeSantis is seen as one of the leading challengers to Trump, aiming to take the reins of the party and make a run for the White House in 2024. Other top candidates also made appearances at the convention, including former secretary of state Mike Pompeo, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley and several other state governors. RJC conferences are often the first stop for likely GOP contenders ahead of presidential election years.

Trump is the only candidate who has announced a 2024 candidacy so far. He launched his campaign despite the party’s poor showing in the midterms this month, with particularly bad results for his favored candidates, and amid several legal threats, including over his role in the January 6, 2021, assault on the US Capitol.

Rosenstein: Trump special counsel appointment signals DOJ belief in a ‘viable potential case’

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Sunday said the appointment of a special counsel to oversee federal investigations into former President Trump indicates the Department of Justice (DOJ) still believes it has a “viable potential case” against him.

Rosenstein, who appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, told CBS’s Margaret Brennan on “Face the Nation” that he can’t “second guess” Attorney General Merrick Garland’s appointment of a special counsel from the outside.

“I think what it indicates is that, despite the fact that the department has been at this for some time, almost two years on the Jan. 6 investigation, close to a year on the Mar-a-Lago investigation, that they still believe that they have a viable potential case,” Rosenstein said.

“It doesn’t mean they made a decision to go forward,” he added. “But it certainly is an indication they believe it’s a possibility.”

Garland on Friday appointed longtime prosecutor Jack Smith as special counsel to oversee investigations into whether any person unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack and the alleged mishandling of sensitive government records at Mar-a-Lago.

The announcement came days after Trump formally entered the 2024 presidential contest, and Garland also cited President Biden’s stated intent to run for reelection as reason to appoint the semi-independent special counsel.

“It’s easy to second guess from outside,” Rosenstein said on CBS. “I think my inclination, given the investigation has been gone for some time and given the stage which they’ve reached, is that I probably would not have, but I just can’t tell from the outside.”

The appointment gives Smith some autonomy over the future of the two investigations, but he still reports to the attorney general.

“I strongly believe that the normal processes of this department can handle all investigations with integrity,” Garland said on Friday. “And I also believe that appointing a special counsel at this time is the right thing to do. The extraordinary circumstances presented here demand it.”

Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump may have reported Trump to the FBI - Cohen

Ivanka Trump recently announced that she would not be joining her father's planned 2024 presidential run.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump were "potentially" moles who informed the Justice Department about classified documents being held at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago compound, the former attorney for Trump Michael Cohen claimed.

Last week, Ivanka did not attend her father's announcement about his plans to run in the 2024 presidential elections, telling Fox News afterward "I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics."

In an interview on MSNBC's The Katie Phang Show, Cohen stated that one reason Jared and Ivanka would not be returning to the Trump campaign in 2024 is that "Jared got everything that he wanted and so did Ivanka. They made $640 million while they were in the administration."

"I believe Jared and Ivanka are potentially the moles in terms of the Mar-a-Lago document and so on and it would be very interesting to have, let's say, the son-in-law, the daughter who are FBI informants, DOJ informants acting as senior members of a campaign or an administration if he should somehow manage to slide back in," said Cohen.

Dozens of classified documents seized from Mar-a-Lago

In August, dozens of classified documents were seized in an FBI raid on Trump's Florida home Mar-a-Lago, according to The New York Times. Some of the documents described a foreign government's military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities, according to The Washington Post.

DeSantis, Haley Present Themselves to GOP Jews as Trump’s Top Challengers

Speaking to a receptive audience at the Republican Jewish Coalition conference in Las Vegas, the Florida governor and former U.N. ambassador played up their bona fides on Israel

Gov. Ron DeSantis and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley headlined the final night of the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual confab in Nevada, aiming to send a clear message to Donald Trump and GOP voters that they are the party’s future.

They spoke following a whirlwind 24 hours of potential 2024 candidates laying out their vision for the party after the disappointing midterms in which the Republican Party failed to take back the Senate and achieved only a slim majority in the House of Representatives.

Speaking via satellite, Trump – the only declared candidate so far – had earlier sought to remind the crowd that any potential challenger had a massive hill to climb if they hoped to defeat him. However, the crowd at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino welcomed DeSantis as if he were Trump’s natural successor.

The Most Disgusting Country In All Of Europe

Legalized prostitution is practiced on an industrial scale by the Germans, and this has earned them the title "the bordello of Europe"…

Germany is known as the bordello of Europe. It is a hard-won title. With more than 3,000 brothels across the country, and 500 in Berlin alone, its sex trade is worth more than £11 billion per year. On average, approximately 1.2 million men pay for sex in Germany each day.

That means that sex is purchased in Germany approximately 438 million times a year.

Here Are 410 Movies Made Under the Direct Influence and Supervision of the Pentagon

A year ago we featured a detailed report by authors Tom Secker and Matthew Alford exposing just how vast the Pentagon and CIA programs for partnering with Hollywood actually are, based on some 4,000 new pages of formerly classified archived documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.

The report noted at the time that “These documents for the first time demonstrate that the US government has worked behind the scenes on over 800 major movies and more than 1,000 TV titles.”

Reviewing the ever expanding list, the average movie watcher might be in for a shock at what films are actually included — there are the more predictable ones like Black Hawk Down, Zero Dark Thirty, and Lone Survivor; but also entirely unexpected ones that apparently needed the military-industrial complex’s propaganda touch like Earnest Saves Christmas, Karate Kid 2, The Silence of the Lambs, Twister, the Iron Man movies, and more recently Pitch Perfect 3.

When a Hollywood writer or producer approaches the Pentagon and asks for access to military assets to help make their film, they have to submit their script to the entertainment liaison offices for vetting. Ultimately, the man with the final say is Phil Strub, the Department of Defense’s (DOD) chief Hollywood liaison, who has been at the helm of this formerly semi-secret department going all the way back to 1989.

If there are characters, action or dialogue that the DOD doesn’t approve of then the film-maker has to make changes to accommodate the military’s demands. If they refuse then the Pentagon packs up its toys and goes home. To obtain full cooperation the producers have to sign contracts, called Production Assistance Agreements, which lock them into using a military-approved version of the script.

Months ago, Strub was again profiled in a report called Elisting an Audience: How Hollywood Peddles Propaganda, which quoted him trying to push back against the growing media exposure over the past year: “We’re not trying to brainwash people! We’re out to present the clearest, truest view,” Strub told The Outline.

The report rightly noted that while Americans generally pride themselves on living in a free speech anti-censorship society, while simultaneously mocking the propaganda examples in places like Russia or China, the US public is subject to more homegrown state-run propaganda than it thinks:

Military pageantry in Russia, massive rallies in North Korea, blunt messaging from China. We cluck at shameless self-aggrandizing when we see it overseas. But it doesn’t take much effort to see that American propaganda is everywhere, too. It’s not government-made, and it’s not quite as brazen as its counterpart from abroad. But it’s here, and to ignore that a piece of content is, at its core, propaganda — especially these days, while Trump openly pines for grand army parades — is a mistake. “There’s all kinds of ways to make an ideological point,” Harris added. “Sometimes I do think we’re not attuned enough. We do not look hard enough for propaganda.”’

And what’s more, unlike in authoritarian systems, in the West it is the consumers that are actually willing, if perhaps unwitting, participants in state propaganda. The Outline report continues:

Certainly, the content has alternative, sincere agendas, too, but it’s the giant, amorphous market of consumers that has called it forth. That’s the difference between our propaganda and everyone else’s. In autocratic regimes, a government-backed entity pushes it onto indifferent or unwilling consumers. In America, we, the consumers, happily demand it.

Want to see what Hollywood films — some recent and some going back decades — that you’ve seen but were unaware had the US Department of Defense’s official imprimatur?

Schiff Claims ‘Evidence is There’ That Trump Engaged in ‘Criminal Conspiracy’, Enough to Make Criminal Referral

Rep. Adam Schiff claimed during a new interview that the “evidence is there” for the House select committee investigating January 6 to make a criminal referral against former President Donald Trump.

Schiff made the comments during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday.

“But I can say that I think Judge Carter in California who analyzed just one small piece of this concluded that the former president and others were engaged or there was evidence they were engaged in a criminal conspiracy, evidence they were engaged in an effort to stop an official proceeding, the Joint Session,” Schiff, who is a member of the committee, said on the show.

Schiff said that the committee is currently making its final decisions about criminal referrals.

“I think the evidence is there to make a referral and we just have to decide whether that’s the course we are going to take.”

The Democrat lawmaker also said that they are looking at options for holding Trump in contempt of Congress for not complying with their subpoena.

Rep. Schiff also expressed his frustration with former Vice President Mike Pence for declining to testify before the committee.

“But once again, Donald Trump took the cowardly way out. Unlike other presidents that have fulfilled their duty even after office and testified before Congress, very — not surprising with the former president, it was disappointing with the former vice president who, like others before him, sadly, said I can’t share this information with the American people and Congress, but I could write a book about it,” Schiff added. “That’s very disappointing.”

Trump announced on Tuesday that he is once again running for the White House in 2024.

Even if they did indict him, Trump could continue to run for office and serve if he wins.9
