NAACP Calls for Companies to ‘Immediately Pause All Advertising’ on Twitter Over Trump Being Reinstated

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is calling for companies to “immediately pause all advertising” on Twitter in response to former President Donald Trump being reinstated.

Musk polled users and had over 15,000,000 votes before deciding to reinstate Trump.

A 51.8 percent majority of users voted to reinstate the former president’s account.

“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk tweeted. “Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” which translates to “the voice of the people is the voice of God.”

NAACP president Derrick Johnson had a total meltdown over the news — accusing Musk of “failing our democracy.”

“You are failing our democracy. Your garbage poll means nothing,” Johnson tweeted. “Did people outside the US vote? Did you reach out to marginalized communities—the targets of Trump’s rhetoric—for their input? Your followers don’t represent America. If you run Twitter like this, God help us all.”

In a subsequent tweet, Johnson wrote, “Any advertiser still funding Twitter should immediately pause all advertising now.”

Trump has not yet tweeted from his newly restored account and has previously said he plans to remain on his platform Truth Social.

Musk had not responded to Johnson’s tantrum at the time of publishing.

RNC Had Roving Attorneys Quietly Monitoring Maricopa Voting Centers, One Has Finally Released His Damning Finds: Report

With the first round of counting over, and the battle just barely beginning, some preliminary shots are being fired in what is expected to be a bruising post-election struggle over which ballots should be counted in the race to become Arizona’s governor.

Media organizations have proclaimed Democrat Katie Hobbs the winner, although the gap between her and Republican Kari Lake is less than 20,000 votes, which means even in the best of times, a recount would be held.

But these are not the best of times. With trust in short supply and scars from the state’s battles over the 2020 election results still fresh, both sides are digging in, lawyering up and firing broadsides at the other before the recounting and lawsuits begin.

According to a report in Time, Lake’s campaign spent $2 million to monitor the counting of votes and to be prepared with lawsuits based on the facts when necessary. Time said 40 lawyers were in one central “war room” while roving attorneys monitor polling places and vote-counting operations.

“This is the most robust Election Day operation and post-election operation that Arizona has ever seen,” Brady Smith, the Lake campaign’s chief political strategist, said.

A glimpse at what the Lake campaign might use as fodder for its lawsuits was shared with The Western Journal in the form of a report from Mark Sonnenklar about what the roving attorneys saw on Election Day. The Western Journal has not independently verified the claims in this report.

Sonnenklar said 10 roving attorneys out of 16 responded to a survey he sent them, and that his report covers 115 voting places out of the 223 places in Maricopa County.

Overall, he wrote, “72 of the 115 vote centers (62.61%) we visited had material problems with the tabulators not being able to tabulate ballots, causing voters to either deposit their ballots into box 3, spoil their ballots and re-vote, or get frustrated and leave the vote center without voting.”

“In many vote centers, the tabulators rejected the initial insertion of a ballot almost 100 percent of the time, although the tabulators might still accept that ballot on the second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth attempt to insert the ballot,” he wrote.

“However, many ballots were not able to be tabulated by the tabulators at all, no matter how many times the voter inserted the ballot. The percentage of ballots that were not able to beread at all by the tabulators ranged from 5% to 85% at any given time on election day, with the average being somewhere between 25 percent and 40 percent failure rates,” he wrote.

Sonnenklar noted that at many polling places, “the printer/tabulator issues persisted from the beginning of election day until the end of election day.”

The report identified a presumed cause of the glitch

“The strong consensus regarding why the tabulators would not read certain ballots was that those ballots, in particular the bar codes on the side of the paper, were not printing dark enough for the tabulators to read them,” he wrote.

The report said the findings contradict county officials that only 70 polling places had issues and that they were “insignificant in the entire scheme of the election.

The other major finding in the report was that at “59 of the 115 vote centers we visited (51.30%). In many cases, voters had to wait 1-2 hours before they received a ballot for voting.”

Sonnenklar noted that “because Republican voters significantly outnumbered Democrat voters in the County on election day, such voter suppression would necessarily impact the vote tallies for Republican candidates much more than the vote tallies for Democrat candidates.”

Joe Biden Calls For ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban Following Deadly Gay Nightclub Mass Shooting

Joe Biden on Sunday called for a ban on “assault weapons” following the deadly mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs.

As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, Colorado Springs police identified the suspect detained in the overnight mass shooting at gay nightclub Club Q as Anderson Lee Aldrich, a 22-year-old male. The shooting killed five people at the club and injured at least 25. No motive for the shooting has been reported as of yet. Aldrich was taken to a local hospital with unstated injuries according to police, however police said they did not shoot Aldrich.

Club Q featured drag shows, including one Saturday night and an all ages drag show brunch that was scheduled for this morning and a later show for today’s Transgender Day of Remembrance (image via Facebook).

Joe Biden immediately called for gun control and absurdly claimed the LGBTQ community has been “subjected to horrific hate violence in recent years.”

Biden used the Orlando gay night club massacre as an example of attacks on the gay community without mentioning the shooter, Omar Mateen, was an Islamic terrorist.

“We saw it six years ago in Orlando, when our nation suffered the deadliest attack affecting LGBTQ community in American history,” he said.

“We need to enact an assault weapons ban to get weapons of war off America’s streets,” Biden said in a statement.

Rep. James Comer: Family Bank Records Are the First Focus in Biden Investigation

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), who will be the chairman of the House Oversight Committee in the new Congress, appeared on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday and emphasized that Hunter and James Biden’s bank statements are going to be central to the committee’s investigation into President Joe Biden.

On Thursday, Comer announced at a press conference that the Oversight Committee would be launching an investigation into the Biden family for potential violations, including “wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, tax evasion, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.”

While speaking with Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle over the weekend, Comer said the first focus of the investigation would be to obtain bank records from President Biden’s son, Hunter, and James Biden, the president’s brother.

“The focus is on day one are those bank violations and those bank records,” said Comer. “We are pretty confident in what we’re going to find in those. We have two bank violations. We have some bank statements in hand, and we believe that suspicious activity reports, which are bank violations when the bank notifies the federal government that we’re pretty confident that our client has committed a crime, Hunter Biden and Jim Biden have at least 150 of those. And I’ve said this before, and I come from a strong banking background, I don’t think there’s anyone in the history of the United States that’s had that many suspicious activity reports.”

“So there’s precedents here in trying to get those suspicious activity reports,” added the representative from Kentucky. “And before Joe Biden became president, congressional committees had access to that. Joe Biden changed the rules to where Congress couldn’t get access to suspicious activity reports when he became president. I wonder why? It’s because his family had 150 of those.”

Comer added that the U.S. Treasury Department should provide the bank records and suspicious activity reports, but he plans to subpoena the banks if the Treasury Department does not cooperate.

Boyle asked Comer if Americans could expect hearings featuring bank and government officials and members of the Biden family, as well as an investigation report at the culmination of the probe and a criminal referral to the Department of Justice.

UN tells Ukraine to investigate video showing 'execution' of Russian POWs

Kiev says it will examine the clip, in which its servicemen appear to massacre prisoners

The UN’s human rights monitoring mission in Ukraine has called on Kiev to probe a video that apparently shows the country’s troops executing Russian prisoners of war. Moscow has said that killing captives is a “widespread practice” by Ukraine’s armed forces.

The UN body told the Associated Press on Saturday that it “is aware of the video and is looking into it,” adding: “we reiterate our call that all such allegations should be properly and promptly investigated by respective authorities.”

The video itself surfaced on social media earlier this week. In it, a group of captured Russian servicemen are shown surrendering to Ukrainian troops and lying down on the ground, before a second clip shows their bodies lying motionless in pools of blood. Another clip with no sound purportedly shows a Russian soldier emerging from a building and opening fire on the Ukrainians, but it is unclear whether that clip is linked to the alleged execution.

The Russian Ministry of Defense described the video as evidence of “the deliberate and methodical murder” of the soldiers, with the Russian Presidential Human Rights Council calling the incident a “demonstrative and audacious crime.” The council demanded an international investigation, and said that it had notified the UN, Council of Europe, Amnesty International, and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

“Of course, Ukrainian authorities will investigate this video,” Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishina told reporters at a security conference in Canada on Saturday. However, she rushed to claim that it is “very unlikely” that the clips show a deliberate execution.

Russia’s Defense Ministry, however, said that not only does the footage depict the “barbarous killing of Russian prisoners of war,” it shows “a widespread practice of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that is actively supported by the Kiev regime and outright ignored by its Western backers.”

Back in March, another shocking video emerged showing Ukrainian troops shooting captured Russian soldiers in the legs at point-blank range, while other wounded Russians lie on the ground nearby. Countless other videos of Russian troops being mistreated by their Ukrainian captors have also surfaced online in the months since Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine began in late February.

Australia's buried treasure problem: Cash hoarding is reaching worrying new heights

Cash hasn't disappeared from the economy. We just can't find the hiding spots.

Right now, per person, there are 18 $100 notes and 38 $50 notes in Australia, according to the Reserve Bank. About $4000 each when you add up the smaller notes and coins.

Most people have none, which means some people have a whole lot more than that.

And the RBA has no idea where it is.

"I don't have my share of these [cash notes] or know many people who do," Governor Philip Lowe said at a dinner in Hobart earlier this month.

Simply put. It's not being used, it's being hoarded.

Who is using cash? Hardly anyone.

Fifteen years ago cash was being used in 69 per cent of transactions.

By 2013 it was down to 47 per cent.

In 2019? It is 27 per cent.

That's the most recent data - new figures are out next year and cash use is expected to have dropped even more.

So, where is it all?

Here's where it gets more vague.

"Our analysis is that most of these banknotes are being held as a store of value," Governor Lowe said.

It means there is about $100 billion worth of physical cash in the Australian economy but it's being seen less and less.

Biden administration continues to dodge calls from pediatric doctors to declare RSV outbreak a national health emergency

As the outbreak of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) continues to strain pediatric hospital beds across the country, the Biden administration continues to dodge calls from the medical community to declare the outbreak a national health emergency that would provide them with additional resources to battle the outbreak similar to those that were provided during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

RSV has historically been one of the most common viruses to infect children, and health experts say that almost all children are infected with it at least once before they turn 2. However, doctors are calling both the extent and severity of the recent outbreak "unprecedented" and "alarming." According to the CDC, infants under the age of 6 months are being hospitalized with RSV at more than 7 times the rate they were prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, pediatric flu hospitalizations are at a 10-year high, with the result that many pediatric ICU units and hospital bed unit systems are extremely strained.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Childrens' Hospital Association sent President Joe Biden and HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra a joint letter last week urging a number of measures, including the declaration of a new public health emergency. According to the letter, "more than three-quarters of pediatric hospital beds are full, and many states are reporting more than 90 percent of their pediatric beds are occupied." The letter further claims that, due to hospital overcrowding and staffing shortages, "more children [are] being cared for in community and adult hospitals which may have limited or no capacity to care for children."

Thus far, however, the Biden administration — which repeatedly claimed that it would "follow the science" and the advice of medical professionals when dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic — has been unimpressed by the calls for help. In a noncommittal response to the letter, the Biden administration did not commit to declaring a national health emergency, but instead said that the administration is "ready to provide assistance to communities who are in need of help on a case-by-case basis." The administration also encouraged people to "avoiding close contact with people who are sick, staying home when sick, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying up to date on their flu and COVID-19 vaccines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases."

Biden himself commented on the outbreak last month, saying, "We’re already seeing a rise in the flu and RSV and other respiratory illnesses, especially among young children. My administration is doing our part. We’ve made these updated vaccines easy to get and available for free at tens of thousands of convenient locations."

There is not currently a vaccine for RSV.

International Soccer President in Epic Rant Against the West for Misunderstanding Qatar's Oppression

Pay close attention to the president of international soccer as he takes identity politics to the absolute zenith of idiocy. Why? To make a point about western nations complaining about the oppressive nature of the World Cup host nation’s government.

The international community — not just the west — is criticizing World Cup host nation Qatar for its authoritarian government and treatment of foreigners, LGBTQ people, and women.

I get it. You feel the pain of all those minorities. I mean, you really, really, really feel it.

“Of course, I am not Qatari, Arab, gay or disabled. But I was the son of a migrant worker, saw their conditions. Not in Qatar, but Switzerland.”

Did he really just compare Qatar with Switzerland? Why, yes. Yes, he did.

Daily Beast:

He later added that also felt “like a woman.” He said Qatar could progress, like Switzerland did, on its human rights record but that the West had to engage as part of the process and stop being hypocrites. “I think for what we Europeans have been doing the last 3,000 years we should be apologizing for the next 3,000 years before starting to give moral lessons to people.”

So, it’s the west’s fault that Qatar hangs gays, beats migrant workers, treats women like cattle, and persecutes Christians, Jews, and anyone who isn’t Muslim?

But Mr. Infantino knows what oppression is. He knows what discrimination is. He knows what it feels like to be an outsider, to be persecuted for being “different.”

“I know what it means to be discriminated and bullied as a foreigner in a foreign country. As a child, I was bullied because I had red hair and freckles. I was bullied for that.”

Washington Examiner‘s Tom Rogan:

Infantino believes that being bullied as a red-headed child with freckles is the same as thousands of migrant workers dying of heat exhaustion after being denied sufficient rest or water. He believes his freckle trauma is the same as a gay person fearing imprisonment or worse for holding hands with one’s partner at a World Cup. But Infantino was just getting started.

This is identity politics being used to justify moral relativism. Qatar should get a pass because past sins committed by the Romans against Africans and proto-Europeans are the same as Qatar’s brutal treatment of foreign workers.

This is the human rights school of “f*** it, we must let the Qataris kill workers and the Chinese Communists wage a genocide against Muslims (side note: Qatar’s Islamic values end with banning beer and gays, not the protection of fellow Muslims) because the Romans annihilated Carthage in 146 BC.”

Of course, history is not supposed to serve as a shield to excuse present-day injustices. Rather, it should be considered in its totality. That means reading about Rome’s enslavement of Carthage and also Rome’s instrumental role in developing enduring traditions of governance and law. It means learning from the past and doing better in the future. Moreover, two can play the moral relativity game. Thinking of Qatar, the Umayyad Caliphate wasn’t always nice to its neighbors, for example.
