Jason David Frank, actor behind the Green Power Ranger, dead at 49 in apparent suicide
The actor and mixed martial artist died in Texas, according to his rep Justine Hunt. Sources with direct knowledge tell us his death was the result of suicide.

Jason David Frank, the man who portrayed the green, and later white, Power Rangers in the original 1993 series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, has reportedly taken his own life at the age of 49.
TMZ reports that Frank, a father of four, died in Texas, according to his representative Justine Hunt. Sources close to the matter told the outlet that the beloved actor died from suicide.
"Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being," Hunt said.
Fellow Power Ranger alumni Walter Jones, who played the black ranger, said, "He was an inspiration to so many people. His presence will be dearly missed. It's so sad to lose another member of our Ranger family."
"Jason was one of the biggest pranksters on the show. He had a wild sense of humor. We had our shares of ups and downs but I stayed consistent about being an ear if he needed one," Jones added. "My prayers go out to his family and all that will miss him."
Frank's death comes just four months after his wife, Tammie Frank, filed for divorce, reported the Daily Mail.
Earlier this year, Tammie accused the actor and martial artist of infidelity after 19 years of marriage. She also added in the divorce documents that she could no longer be married to her husband due to his alleged cruel treatment towards her. She also sought their home and car in the separation.
Frank took his kung-fu abilities from the show to the real world, as a professionally trained mixed martial arts fighter who competed between 2008 and 2010.
He also opened a martial arts studio in Houston called Rising Sun Karate, where he trained students in the fighting style of Toso Kune Do, which translates to Way of the Fighting Fist.
Frank's final Power Rangers movie, Legend of the White Dragon, is scheduled to be released next year.

Former Border Patrol Agent Charged for Hiring Illegal Aliens as Truck Drivers
A former U.S. Border Patrol agent, his wife, and a male accomplice have been charged with unlawfully hiring illegal aliens as drivers for their trucking company and fraudulently obtaining immigration permits, prosecutors said.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas said in a statement that former Border Patrol agent Ricardo Gonzalez, his wife Natalia Gonzalez, and Alex Lopez were arrested on Nov. 17 and charged for their roles in a conspiracy to hire illegal aliens.
The three accused conspirators, who were responsible for running the day-to-day operations at Gonmor Inc., a Laredo-based commercial trucking company, allegedly prepared fraudulent paperwork allowing the illegal immigrants to obtain an I-94 permit to stay in the United States longer than 30 days.
The paperwork allegedly included a letter from a fake Mexican trucking company stating that the individuals were employed there as truck drivers and requested that they receive an I-94 permit so they could travel into the United States.
Illegal aliens seeking entry were allegedly instructed by the conspirators to present the letter to border officials in Laredo and apply for the permit. Once the individuals received the I-94, they were hired by the conspirators to transport cargo throughout the United States even though they were not legally eligible to work in the country.
“Gonzalez is a former BP agent and allegedly utilized his knowledge, training, and experience to facilitate the employment of undocumented individuals and obtaining the I-94 permits,” prosecutors said in the statement.
A conviction on the lesser charge of conspiracy to fraudulently obtain immigration permits can result in a penalty of up to five years behind bars.
The more serious charges of conspiring to encourage an illegal alien to remain in the United States or conspiring to shield them from detection each carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
It comes amid what many have described as a crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border, with millions of illegal immigrants having crossed into the United States since President Joe Biden took office last year, drawing Republican condemnation and accusations.
The influx has seen Texas Gov. Greg Abbott turn to busing illegal aliens out of the state and toward predominantly Democrat-run areas of the country in a bid to relieve overwhelmed Texas communities.
Also, Abbott has invoked “invasion clauses” in response to the border crisis, allowing his administration to use the National Guard to repel illegal aliens, construct a border wall, and deploy gunboats.

Meteor lit up sky over Niagara Falls, CN Tower early Saturday morning
A meteor briefly lit up the sky behind Toronto’s CN Tower and above Niagara Falls overnight.
The European Space Agency shared video of the meteor in the early hours of Saturday morning, named #C8FF042 and around one metre in diameter, passing across the CN Tower.
The agency said it was only the sixth time in history that an asteroid warning noted the object before it made contact with the earth.
“A <1m object has struck (earth) in the skies above Niagara Falls, becoming a safe #fireball,” the European Space Agency said in a tweet.
