Ol' Joe McCarthy was an alchy and he hit his wife in front of HL Hunt and Clint Murchison at a Palm Sprins conservative gathering.

Hunt, Cullen and the other Texans dumped the wife smackin' booze hound , having made excuses for his sodden antic for sometime prior, and presumable, sick of it.
