When praying, i specifically ask for protection from intrusive thoughts & projections, because we're living in a kind of negative psychic soup atm.
Diphenhydramine helps as long as i don't take enough to acclimate. Muscle relaxants help if muscle spasms prevent relaxation, taken only when really needed.

Even during the best of times, i'm a light sleeper. Took benydryl (diphenhydramine) regularly when working 9-5, would take breaks during holidays, etc. Doesn't work for everyone but was ok for me. Now if i can't sleep, it's from anxiety/dread which i don't really think is mine, hence the strong prayer re protection from psychic miasma and projections.
Comes in cycles too, think this is true for most people. If i can't sleep, i get up and do something - get on the board, clean something up, change focus. Don't just lie in bed.
