At issue are assertions by Miller during his cross-examination of Canada Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) director David Vigneault that Fox was the man seen walking around Ottawa with a Nazi flag during Freedom Convoy protests in a photo that was widely circulated online and in the media at the time. At no point did Miller provide evidence of his statement during the cross-examination.
Vigneault first responded that he had at no point told the inquiry that Fox was the flag bearer, and Commissioner Paul Rouleau cut off Miller before the CSIS director could respond to the question a second time.
“No, that’s not a fair statement,” Rouleau said to Miller before the latter ended his questioning and walked away from his lectern.
