Zelensky wails Ukraine needs to 'Israel'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday on Twitter that he spoke via phone with Israeli occupation President Isaac Herzog.

In the Tweet, Zelensky said he hopes to deepen bilateral ties between Ukraine and "Israel" after the occupation completes the formation of its new government, adding that he outlined Ukraine's energy needs during the conversation and invited "Tel Aviv" to take part in the Black Sea grain deal initiative.

Zelensky's outcry comes against the backdrop of recent heavy shelling led by Russia in response to Ukraine's terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge on October 8.

On November 18, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that about half of Ukraine's energy grid was out of order due to Russia's missile strikes.

The country has been experiencing frequent blackouts due to this.

"Israel" expressed several times over the past few months its support for Kiev but refrained from going overboard so as to not further deteriorate its relations with Moscow.

Zelensky said in late September that he was "shocked" the Israeli occupation was not joining the West in supplying Kiev with weapons in light of the Ukraine war.

"Israel is actively helping Ukraine, but without crossing the 'red lines.' These 'red lines' are connected with a very difficult situation in the Middle East. Israel is, in fact, sitting on top of a powder keg. Israel needs to act very carefully and take into account, first of all, the interests of its own security," Israeli occupation ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky said.

The Israeli occupation has a clear understanding of the consequences of crossing these so-called "red lines".

"I understand that they need to defend their territory, but I have learned from our intelligence that Israel has been actually supplying these defense systems to other countries," Zelensky said on September 23.

Earlier in September, Israeli media reported that an Israeli arms manufacturer was supplying anti-UAV systems to Ukraine via Poland, with the sales conducted through Warsaw to circumvent "Tel Aviv's" refusal to sell advanced arms to Ukraine.

On October 18, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that Kiev will be sending an official note to the Israeli occupation requesting immediate air defense supplies and cooperation in the security sector.

Kuleba said he would formally ask President Volodymyr Zelensky to cut Kiev's ties with Iran over Tehran's alleged supply of drones to Russia.

According to Ukraine's top diplomat, Tehran was fully accountable for the ongoing destruction in Ukraine.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in October warned "Israel" against providing weapons to Ukraine, stressing that any move to boost Kiev's arsenal would severely damage bilateral relations.

"Israel appears to be getting ready to supply weapons to the Kiev regime. A very reckless move. It would destroy all bilateral relations between our countries," said Medvedev on Telegram.

The Israeli Haaretz newspaper reported on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter, that the Israeli occupation spent millions of dollars to appease its western partners by procuring undisclosed strategic materials for Ukraine after "Tel Aviv" faced pressure to send the arms to Kiev via a third country.

Reportedly, the United States is the party that pressured the occupation, which had to go against its proclaimed stance to only send humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The Biden administration demanded the occupation to switch from strictly providing humanitarian supplies and expanding its assistance to Ukraine and give military equipment, prompting "Tel Aviv" to fund the purchase of strategic materials for Ukraine, including air defense systems, Haaretz reported.

The agreement to deliver undisclosed strategic materials, reached via a second NATO member state that already supplies Ukraine with arms, saw "Israel" spending millions of dollars on military assistance to Ukraine.

Third Palestinian intifada is coming: Israeli media

There are clear signs pointing to the outbreak of a third Palestinian Intifada, former chief of the Israeli occupation forces' military intelligence directorate Major General Tamir Hayman said on Thursday in light of the latest round of escalation from the people of occupied Palestine.

There are "clear signs that cannot be ignored indicating that there is an increased probability that a third Palestinian Intifada with unprecedented characteristics will occur," Hayman stressed.

"The Palestinian arena is becoming more fomented than the majority of the public imagines," the Israeli military official said, stressing that the occupation must "deal with the terrorist operations that took place in Al-Quds, such as kidnapping the body of Tiran Fero, as a sign that there will be an [Intifada] eventually."

Palestinian freedom fighters managed on Wednesday dawn to seize the body of an illegal Israeli settler after he was killed in a traffic accident near the American University in the city of Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank.

The Occupation Army Radio reported that Resistance fighters managed to snatch the body of "Israeli" Tiran Fero (18 years old), who was killed in a car accident, adding that he arrived at the Jenin hospital by mistake.

According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the Resistance fighters captured the body after they stopped an ambulance belonging to the Palestinian Red Crescent that was on its way to deliver it to the occupation, while the Resistance refuses to hand it over.

On the same day, Israeli media reported that there was an explosion at a bus station in Al-Quds, which injured around a dozen people.

Israeli media reported that Knesset member Itamar Ben-Gvir went to the explosion site in Al-Quds.

Israeli media also reported that there is a fear of other explosives in other areas of occupied Al-Quds.

The explosion came after a long period of increased oppression of the Palestinian people at the hand of the Israeli occupation, which has been on a usual yet increased rampage, which has seen "Tel Aviv's" forces brutally murdering Palestinians left and right.

A Palestinian child, 16-year-old Ahmad Amjad Shehadeh, was martyred yesterday morning after he succumbed to his wounds from a bullet the IOF fired straight to his heart when they entered the city of Nablus.

Palestinian media also confirmed the injury of six other Palestinian men with live bullets and tens of others by suffocation as a result of the IOF storming Nablus.

Back on November 9, Mahdi Hashash, 17, succumbed to serious wounds he sustained in his stomach after being shot by Israeli occupation forces, as per the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The IOF, accompanied by Israeli settlers, both in large numbers, stormed Al-Quds and Amman Streets in the vicinity of Qaber Youssef (Joseph's Tomb), east of Nablus. The IOF shot live ammunition at the Palestinians and heavily deployed tear gas and stun grenades.

French MPs vote to include abortion rights in constitution

On Thursday, lawmakers in the French parliament voted on adding to the constitution the right to abortion, following the recent changes that took place in Poland and the United States.

The US Supreme Court overturned back in June Roe v. Wade, a law granting American women the right to abortion. The court ruled that states may regulate abortion practices according to the court's written opinion.

Meanwhile, Poland's government heavily restricted abortion access for the country's women in recent months.

Parliament members from the left-wing France Unbowed (LFI) party and the ruling centrist coalition came to an agreement on the wording of the new clause, which passed with a huge majority.

"The law guarantees the effectiveness and equal access to the right to voluntarily end a pregnancy" read the proposed constitutional addition.

337 votes approved the clause, while only 32 voted against it, and the bill is now set to be sent to the conservative-majority Senate for approval.

French MPs said the initiative was prompted by the US Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade legislation nationwide.

Abortion in France was legalized in 1974 in a law championed by health minister Simone Veil, who France sees as an icon of feminism, who was granted by French President Emmanuel Macron the rare honor of burial at the Pantheon when she died in 2018.

The Senate rejected in October a previous attempt to inscribe the right to abortion and contraception into the constitution in France.

Today's attempt will also need the upper chamber's approval and must then be voted on in a national referendum.
