A Democrat has suddenly become an “election denier” after her race was narrowly overturned following the sudden discovery of missing votes on a memory card. The previously uncounted votes on a memory card changed the election outcome in Cobb County, Georgia, officials say. Madelyn Orochena had announced her win on social media for the Kennesaw City Council Special Post 1 seat when the results first came in. “Feeling excited and so grateful! It’s a win! See you Monday,” Orochena wrote in the social media post. However, Orochena’s victory was short-lived, after the memory card were discovered last Wednesday.

Republican John Duarte leads by fewer than 600 votes in California’s 13th district against Democrat Adam Gray with 99% of the votes in, according to the Associated Press. In Colorado, incumbent Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert declared victory after her Democratic opponent Adam Frisch conceded last week, but only 550 votes sit between them, triggering a recount and more delayed results.

California Court Rejects San Diego School District’s COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
🇺🇸💉@COVID19Up: The California 4th District Court of Appeal ruled against (https://ca-times.brightspotcdn.com/5c/86/5b6f58dd4495a769e26f98cfa10b/d079906opinion.pdf) the San Diego Unified School District’s COVID-19 student COVID-19 vaccine requirement this week.
On Tuesday (Nov. 22), the appellate court agreed with a lower court's ruling from last year that the school district does not have the authority to establish its own mandate.
The court rejected the district's several defenses of its mandate, including that it is in line with the responsibility to keep students safe, that programs can be created to meet "local needs" and that the mandate is somehow not actually a mandate because it allows for students to do "at-home independent study" should they choose not to comply.
"We doubt that students and their parents perceive a real choice. For some, independent study would likely be a step backwards," it wrote.
