Farmers don't get to say I'll sell to you for this price. They get what they get from the 'global commodity markets, and when you tell the largest population on earth that the american farmer isn't going to sell to you, then that instantly creates less demand for food. What am i supposed to do with a billion extra bushels of food that will rot in a bin cause I'm not allowed to sell it to China.

If I had my way, and you could get 2 farmers to agree on anything, I'd tell us all to sit on our asses fishing for a couple years. When the rest of the nation starts going hungery and having to pay 10x what they do now for less and less, maybe they'd give a damn for a change.

There was only 1 port in the US that was setup to allow direct marketing and the entire county couldn't produce the minimum amount of grain to fulfill a contract. No one has the individual resources available to actually move the grain from where it is to where it had to be.
