Don't think it's Husain Haqqani, as he studied in Pakistan and was their ambassador to the U.S.. Interesting though is that he belonged to a student organisation called Islamic Jamait-e-Talaba which objective was to transform Pakistan into an Islamic state (did Q refer to this state?), governed by Sharia Law through gradual legal & political objectives. Was Obama part of a close group of students that visited Pakistan for the purpose of becoming part/learning from this group to do the same in U.S.? Get this, one of the founding members was Maulana Naeem Siddiqui…same surname as Sohale Siddiqi in the Guardian article. (Even though the same photo had a different name for the friend in another article) Not sure if it means something..
