I use both together. NAC replaces the glutathione and liver enzymes that get drawn down to metabolize acetaminophen, that's all. It's really only needed as an antidote if someone took a high enough dose of acetaminophen to become toxic, otherwise it's a fairly benign combo; speaking from experience.
