I've seen a lot of evidence that even those at the tippy top can be incredibly stupid. For example, implementing the public education system in the 1800's is perhaps the stupidest thing one could do when they already know about the problem of overproduction (now 'over capacity'.) Think about that for a bit. They cost themselves 100 years or more of control. Idiots.
