"Police say they found the two pipe bombs at a home on McCurry Road. The Butte County Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called and people living within 300 to 500 feet were told to evacuate.

Neighbors off-camera said they were shocked to see what was going on in their neighborhood. And it all began a mile away on G Street.

Police say 44-year-old Rory Banks was arrested for allegedly shooting 55-year-old Ralph Mendez. Though, not much information regarding the shooting has been released.

“This is an isolated incident,” said Wheatland Police Chief Damiean Sylvester. “We believe the victim was targeted by the suspect. The victim and suspect did not know each other.”
