I have a theory about "gay marriage". I don't think its about anything more than letting a certain subset of homosexuals get access ("legally") to children they can exploit.
Apple is indicating, in my opinion, that enough of their business comes in one fashion or another from exploitation, that they find it in their interest to thumb their nose at God and support the denigration of the relationship ordained by God in the Garden: Marriage.
Good thing to know I don't need to buy any more Apple "spyware".
