EU country urges Ukraine to strike Russia

The US-led NATO bloc "should not fear" allowing Kiev to attack Russia freely, Latvia's top diplomat says

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics urged NATO to "allow" Ukraine to use its Western-supplied weaponry for strikes deep into Russian territory. The top diplomat made the remarks in an interview with Bloomberg on the sidelines of the NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Bucharest on Tuesday.

In particular, the weaponry should be used to attack sites used by Moscow to stage missile strikes against Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, Rinkevics suggested.

"We should allow Ukrainians to use weapons to target missile sites or air fields from where those operations are being launched," he said.

While Moscow has repeatedly warned the West against "pumping" Ukraine with assorted weaponry, suggesting such behavior could ultimately result in a direct conflict between the US-led NATO alliance and Russia, Rinkevics brushed off such concerns. The bloc "should not fear" escalation, he said.

Outrage Grows as Hollywood Remains Silent on Balenciaga BDSM-Themed Child Ads

Outrage is mounting as much of Hollywood remains silent on luxury fashion brand Balenciaga’s recent scandal involving BDSM-themed child ads.

The liberal Hollywood elite are being called out on social media for remaining silent on Balenciaga’s disturbing ads featuring children holding teddy bears clad in bondage outfits. The ads also included a document referencing a U.S. Supreme Court case involving child pornography.

So far, Kim Kardashian is the only celebrity to publicly address the matter, proclaiming that as a mother of four, she was “shaken by the disturbing images.” Despite that, however, Kardashian has refused to completely distance herself from the brand, adding that she is “re-evaluating” her relationship with Balenciaga.

Meanwhile, model Bella Hadid, actress Nicole Kidman, and singer Dua Lipa, who all starred in Balenciaga’s fashion show, have remained silent on the matter.

Additionally, Kidman has even refrained from deleting a photo she posted to Instagram from a Balenciaga campaign.

Hadid, on the other hand, has deleted an Instagram carousel featuring several photos from her recent Balenciaga campaign, but has yet to speak a word regarding the brand’s BDSM-themed child advertisement scandal.

Other stars being called out for their silence include Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, who attended the Balenciaga show in Paris last month, and actress Salma Hayak, whose husband François-Henri Pinault is the CEO of Kering, the brand’s parent company.

French actress Isabelle Huppert, who appears in two photos from the campaign in front of the Borremans book, is also silent.

Meanwhile, Euphoria star Alexa Demie has yet to remove a Balenciaga ad campaign from her Instagram feed, despite growing fury among her fans, who are flooding the comment section of her post with the hashtags “#cancelbalenciaga” and “#boycottbalenciaga.”
