We are because they still collect taxes. The gov just pretends its not bankrupt, apparently the bankruptcy happened a couple of times. The just create a new corporation for USA with change of a few words, a new filing
I think every new concoction they create whether with stem cells, blood etc are not perfected, nor can they be because they cannot erase the genetic heritage of the donor. So its like organ donations have significant risks due to pre existing genes that have diseases in family heritage. They can never perfect science. They may extend life but they will die horrible deaths
