My anatomy and physiology professor was a corpsman for 20 years. During the circulatory system part he told us about a guy that was an alcoholic and kept having to be hospitalized. I forgot the story. Sometimes he made shit up to help us remember things. Anyway, they decided he was miserable so they turned him on his left side and his heart was too weak from drinking and the pressure from all the blood coming in made his heart burst and he croaked. He then proceeded to tell us to have a glass of water after every alcoholic beverage in order to keep it from damaging the body.
