I’d like to put an argument out. Here’s what I got:
If it was a “pale or light” colored eye, it would appear “greyish” or lighter in B&W. But as you can see, his photo is in B&W, and his eyes are almost completely blacked out. Meaning he didn’t have light colored eyes. Just my two cents.
