Anonymous ID: 3e4482 Tiny ND Oil Town Plans $21.8M Rec Center Dec. 6, 2022, 7:16 a.m. No.17885304   🗄️.is 🔗kun

Tioga, ND - Tensions are flaring after the tiny ND town announces they will build a $16.8M expansion on their already $5.2M dollar Recreation Center. The plan includes a 2,000-seat auditorium, which is only 62 less than the entire population of the town of 2062.

If all goes to plan taxpayers will be funding a coffee shop and an auditorium for the organizer's (the town Auditor) New Hope Church to meet rent-free every Sunday morning.

The town is built mostly on taxes from North Dakota's tremendous oil revenues but Auditor Abby Salines has big plans to annex the local Hess oil facility and hopes the town will realize MILLION$ in tax revenue from the sales of natural gas.

Local residents are planning a recall election in the small town to reverse the decision which could potentially bankrupt the town if the volatile commodity prices ever falter.

Today WTI Crude oil price is at $71.00 but during COVID-19 oil plunged to negative $40 per barrel.

Extraction taxes on U.S. shale crude oil (and natural gas) are spread to every user of the commodity even to the customers.

So America, ENJOY YOUR NEW REC CENTER compliments of the Tioga City Commission and appointed officials like Auditor Abby Salines Tioga, ND!

The recreation center is currently located only yards away from the Hess natural gas flare.
