>Strzok cooperation
According to his lawyer (Aitan Goelman) Strzok "wants the chance to clear his name and tell his story. He thinks that his position, character and actions have all been misrepresented and caricatured, and he wants an opportunity to remedy that,"
What would he have to gain by making this offer? What could he say / do that would make a difference?
-
"Muh phone was comp'd, wasn't me" (not likely, as he "regrets sending anti-Trump messages")
-
"I was blackmailed to say/do certain things to favor Clinton" (seems unlikely, but maybe)
-
"I was stupid / brainwashed / fed disinfo about Trump camp."
-
Attempt to delay the hammer by pushing testimony closer to / after mid-terms.
-
Lie his ass off: promise that bias had no effect on investigation
-
He's royally fucked, and the ugly truth is his best chance of getting a plea.
None of these seem to resonate with me. Seems to me there is fuckery planned. How else could this go down?
